I wonder how many Mets fans are in states like LA because of WOR.

The Rangers suck historically, and even more recently with their Ownership trying to buy a World Series title.

Arkansas maybe, Louisiana and Mississippi have always been Astros and Braves with cubs, Yankees fans scattered out Rangers haven’t been historically good so I guess that’s why the Shreveport area hasn’t adopted them like the Cowboys. My old man always took us to the astrodome, the old Fulton county stadium and the Ted to watch the Stros and braves play each other since all of our favorite players were on both teams. The late 80’s and 90’s were great watching those teams at the time.

Astros market Louisiana well, especially LC and Lafayette. Growing up in Lake Charles they used to have the off-season caravan that would come through.

I remember Luis Gonzalez, Steve Finley and Bagwell came to my school and I almost passed out.

What? Louisiana is Astros and Cubs mostly. I’ve met one Cardinals fan in my life in New Orleans and he was from St. Louis.

Somebody told me Louisiana was cardinals country, I guess they were mistaken or maybe only northern Louisiana.

Astros have always been the primary baseball team in Texas.

Eh. In the early 2000s I remember everybody was a rangers fan. Texans are really good at being fair weather fans TBH. And I’m a Texan.

The place is heavy with Astros fans because its a BR centric website and for all of the BR reasons mentioned.

Atlanta fans are here because its an SEC associated website and the Braves are the only other SEC region team.

The Rays don't count because no one is actually sure they exist. Miami is another country so they don't count either.

Houston is the closest drive for most of Louisiana. Zephyrs were part of of the Astros organization for a long time. Now they have a former LSU player starting.

Mississippi has the Mississippi Braves in Jackson and for most of Mississippi. Atlanta is the closest drive.

Louisiana/ Texas (Astros) and Mississippi (Braves) make up the majority of this board:

Arkansas is more of Cardinals country

Some Rangers fans in South Louisiana, lots in North Louisiana and Western Arkansas. Used to be a Rangers fan myself before Jon Daniels killed my love for them. Plus they made a multi billion dollar stadium look like a barn from the outside

I live closer to Atlanta now, so I started following the Braves. Don’t see the point to follow a team you will never make it out to watch in person

I was born in Beaumont. My first mlb game was in the Astrodome. I’ve been an Astros fan my whole life.

Lol I hate Houston as a city just as much as I hate NO as a city. Love the saints and Astros though.

The Astros are Louisiana’s MLB team by default, that’s why there are so many Astros fans here. Plus, Alex Bregman.
