What is the big deal with the pay cuts? Are you using that just so people can't point to where other players teamed up. Like they give you an example of it happening, and then you can be like BUT HA THEY NEVER TOOK A PAYCUT!!!!!!!!

I didn't mean to "like" your post

in free agency 3 stars or max players cant team up because they will cost too much

Ok.? How do you feel about restructured contracts in the NFL?
Posted on 3/18/13 at 8:19 pm to UncleBlazer
roster is almost quadruple
and restructured contracts are normal in nfl, happens all the time
doesn't necessarily mean they are taking a pay cut. Alot of times money will be pushed back to lighten the cap hit.
also in the nfl contracts aren't guaranteed like they are in the nba, so guys are almost forced to restructure
clearly bosh wade and lebron all deserve max contracts
there is a reason you can't restructure in the nba and go downward, to prevent this sort of thing from happening

If I'm not mistaken(I maybe) they are risking money by backloading the money because it is not guaranteed. Not a big deal anyways. I don't understand why the paycuts bother you so much, so I won't argue with you about those.
I understand where you're coming from in being upset about them joining the same team(I don't feel the same way) but I hope you know that more than likely every great player is going to want to play with other greats. They want to win as much as they can, because ultimately the most of the public will judge their legacies on whether their team won championships or not(which is bullshite). They want to be remembered.
And for the joining forces. They all played out their contracts, not like they bitched and moaned and forced a trade to be together. They did it the best way they could. But I can't force you to believe anything, just trying to explain how the other side sees it.

So the stars should always take a max contract if they can, even if it means they can't sign other players to help the team?

You have to be impressed with the Heat this year. Not only do they appear to be the best in the NBA they have now done what other great teams never did: Bird's Celtics, Magic's Lakers, Jordan's Bulls, Shaq's Lakers, and Duncan's Spurs never won this many games in a row.
Does this make this Heat team the greatest ever? Of course not, but it is fun to watch them come out and play hard every night and the teams' up against them take their best shot.

Don't care to read any further than this but I did want to point out a fallacy here.
LeBron and Wade were never rivals. They've been friends since entering the NBA and not once did their teams meet in the playoffs.
Their individual career arcs never allowed for a rivalry to form between them.

That's not a fallacy...that's part of my point. If Lebron was a true competitor...Wade would be a rival instead of a friend he ran to because he couldn't hack it as the leader.

He's the leader of the team now genius

Right now, Lebron is bringing more to the table then Jordan did. Jordan was the guy you wanted the ball with down 1 with 10 seconds to go. No question there. But if you get 40 minutes from either one of them, I'd have to go with Lebron at this point. He made 37 points 12 assists and 7 rebounds with the game winning shot, look like an average game for him last night. The only teams that can even match up with this Heat team are the 96 Bulls and maybe a few of the Lakers squads.

No Celtics team in history could touch them? 76'ers?

I'll give you a few Celtics squads. But the fact would remain Lebron would be the best player on the floor in almost any match up. Then Wade would be right there with the other team's best player in most matchups.
