They played an NBA season of 71 games.

They played roughly 60 games, then had an entire offseason. Then played a 2 week season that led up to the playoffs. What happened in those 60 games before the break was almost irrelevant at that point with all of the time off leading up to the bubble.

I don’t only hold this opinion because I don’t like the Lakers (which I definitely don’t), if someone cared enough you could search out my posts from before the bubble even starting saying that it was an asterisk season.

Did any Bama players miss a game due to Covid? I remember Saban having to sit out a game or two, but who knew the cure to Covid was in Tuscaloosa all along? joke of a season playing in front of cardboard cut outs.

Because LSU went 5-5 against an All-SEC schedule. It was too hard and their best player quit at the start of the season and didn't wait to the bowl game like usual.

They act like it was anomaly. They have players quit every year and they went 500. again in 2021. They actually went 6-7 that year.

You bring up 2021 and yet I've never seen a single LSU fan discredit that season. LSU sucked in both 2020 and 2021. The reason 2020 gets brought up because it was a mockery of what CFB is and everyone knows it.

Idk man, seems pretty relevant seeing as the Lakers were one of the best teams in the league and then won the championship.

Y’all are acting like the Wizards came out of nowhere and won the whole thing

Yet it’s LSU fans who appear to overwhelmingly beat the drum about a “fake season” more than any other college football fanbase.

If LSU had a higher percentage of starters opt out of playing that season than other college programs, then that’s a program problem. Teams had to still win the game on the field. Plain and simple.

Or that the fact that something that benefitted the Lakers more than other teams, which still is whatever when you consider the Clippers literally had Kawhi and PG, somehow takes away its legitimacy

Just absolutely fool proof, iron clad, logic

In a hypothetical world where every season is played like the bubble season, with a 60 game schedule, then a massive 3 month break before having a 2 week ramp up and then starting the playoffs, how many more championships would the LeBron/AD Lakers have had these last 4 seasons?

just the one. because the same teams who have won it would probably still have won

So you are saying LSU would have been awful either way. It's like covoid had zero to do with the play on the field.

LSU was going to be a . 500 team either way. No reason to discredit it.

I'm not sure how it was a mockery when the SEC played an all SEC schedule. If anything it exposed teams that usually get 3 or 4 rent a wins in OOC. Your arguments are not making sense.

It wasn't irrelevant at all, as it directly led to the seeding for the playoffs.
