I'll take prime Wade in the playoffs over prime Harden in the playoffs any day of the week.

Harden will have the numbers to beat Wade but never the titles. Is what it is.

Harden is a great player, but this is not true.

A true study of Wade, Dirk, and Harden will show how much people completely change narratives based on championships that involve tons of variables and luck.

When Wade got older he started doing the shitty pump fake, then jump into a defender to draw the foul. The NBA modified the rule in response to this blatant cheapness. When are they gonna do that for Harden?

The hate for James Harden on this board is irrational. He plays for the Rockets, and that just doesn’t work here. These guys hated the Chinese teddy bear Yao when he was playing a New Orleans team with CP3 and David West.
Well when you have an inferior complex, don’t be surprised when people treat you like you’re inferior.

He averaged 15.9 points in the playoffs that year. Can you imagine if Harden he a 16 point GAME in the playoffs right now??? This board would have a field day!

You referenced Dwyane Wade having "nothing to do with that last championship." In a pivotal 7-game series against SAS to win the NBA Finals, Wade averaged nearly 20 points/game. I'd say he made meaningful impact.

Yeah in that series he was 20/5/5.

Wade was breaking down sure but he was still an elite defender and made a great Robin to Lebron’s Batman.

Perhaps my wording was harsh. But my main point is that Wade should not be given some extra credit to his career for winning that series. The Heat win a title with Harden in that backcourt instead of Wade.

For now Wade.

If Harden keeps this pace for another 3-4 years.

Harden.

I also believe that Harden’s game will age much better than Wade’s. He relies much less on athleticism. Wade was really tough on his body.

I wonder how many titles Harden would have if he got to play in the East with Shaq, LeBron, Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, etc without a dynasty out West.
None.

I’m pretty sure I have Harden > Wade.

But Wade’s career was clearly better. And if Harden doesn’t keep making a fool of himself at times and in stretches in the playoffs and comes away with zero rings, I’ll have to rethink.

Ready,

Statistically Hardens last three seasons is better than any players three year run outside of course mike and lebron.

For guys like bird, wade, magic, Kobe, you can cherry pick their top 3 seasons, they don’t even have to be consecutive, and they aren’t as good as hardens last three when you look at your WS, WS/48, VORP, PER, etx.

And harden hasn’t even topped out yet as a player.
