Why have conferences if that happens?
this is all leading to the break away. The top 48-60 schools will do their own thing separate from the ncaa and basically be a super league.

Imo there should be a 68 team tournament with the 8 lowest seeded teams playing games in Ohio to determine who gets into the field of 64.

Only schools that are ready are those don't really have legit CFP chance w/the 12 team format, and those that are just chasing the money.

If they go to a 28 team CFP.... then get rid of conference championship games and non conference games.

Let’s finish sinking the ship, you lost three or more games this season? Come on in to the playoffs

The complete death of college football. The regular season would mean nothing.

8-5 SEC and Big Ten teams making the playoffs.

Farce of a sport

Why even have a regular season at this rate just pair up the AP top 25 going into the season for a 10 week tournament

Too many rich egos running this thing not wanting to ever get left out of the money train of the CFP and making the product completely terrible in the process

Exactly this. Why watch games from Sep-Nov if they don't particularly mean anything?

It will happen if they project it will make sufficient money. That’s all these people care about. They don’t care six s**ts about old-school fans or the traditions of the sport.

I’d like to know how they do this without reducing regular season games and severing the connection of everyday Joes who’ll never be able to afford postseason tickets to the sport. Unless they play until March.

Remember when ADs and University Presidents used to have concerns about too many games being hard on the players bodies and interfering with academics/exams?

Laughable then and more so now...

I would have no respect for anyone who would still watch college football if they did this.

Why are we so stupid in this country, never a middle ground in anything! 0 to 200 mph, time and again.

Why does the Big 10 think they deserve the same amount of spots as the SEC. College Football is still dominated by SEC.

Quantity of Nati's last 20 years:

SEC - 14
ACC - 3
Big 10 - 3

Quantity of teams in 247 top 17 classes in class of 2025:

SEC - 11
Big - 4

They aren't close to the SEC..

It's ridiculous for conferences to get so many teams into a playoff.

Agree, but there might be a 40 or 50 team SEC by then.
