i'm guessing you have Kobe resign for the vet minimum...
2014 i rate LeBron as 95% staying in Miami, 5% back to Cleveland, and that's it

lakers. what the western conf has to be paranoid about is kobe being traded or amnestied. if the lakes clear $30mil from next year's cap, which is more like $100mil with taxes included, they would have a shitload of top market high $$$ to spend on whoever they want. they could replace kobe with cp3 and a stud sf. league fuuuucked.....im scared!!!!! im pretty sure owners and gm's are thinking bout this also.

How is this even a question?
Whether we are talking about the short term future or the long term future, it's the Lakers obviously.
They are the most consistently great franchise over the history of the NBA and they will always be a premiere franchise in basketball regardless of a few hiccups here or there.

It's really not that big of money difference. About 1.5 million per year which disappears considering the taxes and cost of living in cali

The lakers cannot trade Kobe Bryant without his permission...
Absolutely not going to happen

Lakers and it isn't even close. This is coming from a guy who hates the Lakers and thinks Anthony Davis will be star in a few years.
The free-agent draw is just too much. This is my number 1 issue with the NBA.

It's LA. It's the Lakers. They'll attract plenty other big names in the future. God forbid they have a rebuilding year or two in the meantime.
I hate the unfair amount of coverage the Lakers have been getting, but this is correct.

The NBA is rigged in favor of the big market and high profile teams. Stern's successor will make sure the Lakers will be good.
Some emerging superstar will raise a stink about leaving and the Lakers will miraculously acquire him for 50 bucks and the third mentally retarded Gasol brother.
It's called the circle of life.

ESPN has proved this year that if you want to be talked about, you have to play for the Lakers. The Pacers are an exciting team that wouldn't be that far away if not for Miami, but the average NBA fan can't name a single player and they literally NEVER play on television. You think the last piece of the puzzle is going to sign there? Or will they sign with the Lakers because ESPN acts like winning is their birthright?

As a Memphis fan I understand a Pacers fan pain.
Marc Gasol should be a star in this league, but doesn't get the amount of press he deserves. I saw a bunch of the NBA writers calling him the League Pass DPOY.
There was tweet on NBA Gametime after the Grizz/Clips game today that said,"if Blake Griffin is a starting All-Star PF, what is Zach Randolph?" Isiah Thomas was blatantly honest, he was like Blake plays in LA, is on TV much more, and has all the highlight dunks.

you should probably stop posting.

since nobody wants to admit LA is in luxury tax hell for a 7th seed or worse?
yeah they'll get a big time free agent. they'll get Dwight Howard. you got faith in him over the next 5 years while they tear down the team around him?
if our Pels can flip Eric Gordon i think everyone else here should stop posting

And just signed like a billion dollar TV contract. Their large contracts will be retired within 2 years most likely except D12 of course.

This I can agree with. I think their GM is terrible. I wouldn't be suprised to see them fire D'antoni and bring back Phil next year.

And be what perennial 7 & 8 seed every year?

Lakers- their franchise knows it has to win (and will do it any cost).
