He wasn't the problem his first year.

As an LSU fan, I think Burrow has the potential to be great. My only worry is that him playing for the Bengals may stunt his pro development a little bit. They have a shitty offensive line, hardly any offensive weapons (almost none if Green leaves) and they're not the type of franchise to turn things around quickly and completely. That said, with his work ethic and the amount of preparation he puts into each game, I think he's going to be damn good. If whatever team drafts him (likely the Bengals) can put him into an offense similar to what he ran this past year at LSU and gives him a decent weapon or 2, he'll have all-pro potential. He definitely has the ability to make his teammates better.
Now, to really answer your question and go with a non-homer pick, since I'm sure the answer to your question from most LSU fans will be Burrow, I'll say Jordan Love. I think he's being overlooked because the team he had around him last year was horrible. I think that led to him playing well below his ability as a QB. I'd love to see the Saints draft him and give him a year or 2 behind Brees. I actually think if he sits for a year and gets coached up by NFL coaches, it'll benefit him greatly and allow for him to have sustained success in the NFL. I'd expect him to play really well for whatever team he's on if he's allowed to go that route. However, if he's drafted and has to start right away, I'd be a little concerned for his future. I think he needs that year to sit and learn from better coaching than what he received at Utah State to be able to reach his full potential.

IMO:
* Burrow
* Herbert
* Love
Doubt Tua last 10 years.

Probably some 11-12 year old who is playing peewee football right now. Why do you ask?

I want to be original and name some guy out of left field, like Bryant from Mizzou. But Burrow is going to be solid. Even he is just a slightly better version of Andy Dalton, that is going to be hard to beat. I actually think the Bengals make the playoffs next year.
I am rooting for Tua. But that injury is just too extreme. Honestly, I don't think he should play football anymore. He should be allowed to collect his insurance and retire.

Burrow or Herbert
Herbert looked like shite in the Rose Bowl except for his read option runs..and as we all know, that's really not the NFL.

You gonna run that 40 times a game?
Where's Kap? I guess he wants his job back.
Didn't he get run out by sucking at reading defenses and only having legs?
Herbert looked like the most indecisive uncomfortable pocket passer who made TERRIBLE decisions (read in Bill Walton's voice) during the Rose Bowl.
But all the news stories were Herbert leads Oregon to victory with 3 TD runs.
Yeah College! Just like the NFL.

Herbert wants to know how his dick feels. He was so busy ripping USC a new one this last season.

Like usual some kid from some Podunk university that no one knew existed except their alumni.

I'd pick Burrow, even though going #1 to a bad team could handicap him.
He just seems to have the "it" factor, to use a cliche. Takes total command of the offense. Reminds me a lot of how Peyton was when he came out.
