Who refs Notre Dames games?

Never thought about this before. Obviously conference games have conference refs and with away non con games the away team provides the referees. Bowl games and neutral site games provide neutral referees. But what about Notre dames games? Do they play on the road with the home teams refs? And who refs their home games? Local priests?

If they have the same agreement as UF - FSU, home team’s conference refs re this weekends game.

A few years ago, I remember watching a Notre Dame game near the end of the season and the announcer saying this was the 9th time that the Irish had an ACC crew. Hope that helps

They're basically in the ACC so it might be ACC refs.

Typically ACC crews do our away games.

So who refs when Notre Dame is the away team? Is Notre Dame only ever refereed by the conference of the team they’re playing? Seems weird.

What about Army, BYU, UMass? Are there any other independents. Notre Dame is halfway in the ACC so that makes sense
