Is it the Corner Back? Running Back? Wide Receiver?

This is actually a good answer that well illustrates the general silliness of the question.

I think it goes in cycles. DE's started to become freak athletes back 15 yrs ago? Javon Kearse (sp?) is the first one that comes to mind of ushering in a new standard. TE's as well more recently.

I haven't watched enough NFL the past several years but I'd say CB's are now on a different level athletically, height/speed/size just because they have to be to matchup with the average NFL WR these days.

Will say that a middle linebacker is the most well rounded player on the field. He just gets asked to do so many different things and gets exploited if he's deficient in any one area

I'd say those guys are probably the fittest.

I put safeties over Corners, because many of them have to help stop the run, so they are stronger, bigger than majority of corners.

These guys get beat in coverage more than CB's so I would say safeties are stronger but not as athletic as their WR counterparts.
