Yeah, imagine Daniels with Keenan Allen, DJ Moore and Rome Odunze

A hurt old Keenan Allen and a hurt rookie in Odunze don’t really get me going to be honest

Allen played in 16 games. Odunze played in 17. Both had 100+ targets.

Are you two just making things up?

ETA: You don’t have to actually answer. Mingo has been making things throughout this entire thread.

They were both limited all year, and Odunze was still a rookie.

DJ Moore is really good, but the narrative that Caleb had some top 5 offense is just bullshite.

Your guy was awesome this year, there’s no changing that, there’s no reason to make shite up about another player or team to try to prop your guy up even further. Just makes now sense

I’m not making anything up. I’m providing statistics.

It’s a fact that Allen played in 15 games and Odunze played in 17. It’s also a fact that they both had 100+ targets.

Do you know what isn’t a fact and is actually making things up? This:

There are injury reports dog, neither of those guys were practicing much for most of the back half of the year.

And Allen racked up 40+ targets over the last 4 games when they had nothing to play for and they were just chucking it around.

The bears skill players were ok, middle of the league probably, but the narrative that they were awesome is just a total farce.

I don't give a shite. They played the entire season and racked up 100+ targets each.

Two games in December with 26 targets. Two games in November with 25 targets.

Were they just chucking it around all season then?

More opinions with no basis in fact. Nice.

Not really, although it’s all subjective at some point

You brought up the last 4 games like they were doing something different though. Weird.

No, really.

Caleb almost certainly wouldn’t have had the season on Washington that JD did. Full stop, I don’t know how to be more clear about it. But in the very small chance he had, there wouldn’t be the Caleb dick sucking that there has been for Jayden. And that’s a fact

Perhaps not on this board, but the media obsession with him would likely even be greater than it is with Daniels because it coincided with their preconceived notions, since he was considered the chosen one by many pundits, despite much of the evidence that was evident to many, including one of the best seasons in college history for a QB within the pocket (JD5), which doesn’t even include his rushing yards and efficiency.

But even now, you don’t have to search far to see a ton of Jayden Daniels love all over the place, with the distinct exception of your posts and anything from Bears fans.

Twitter is having a Jayden Daniels love fest right now, and it’s not led by LSU fan boys.

And back to the original question, even if “95%” of pundits felt Williams should be the No. 1 pick, it was still irresponsible for the Bears to not even meet with another potential QB.

Well if that's the case, then the GM is incompetent. Anyone with a brain could see the difference between JD and Caleb Williams. JD displayed that calmness throughout the season in his Heisman year.

oh I agree, just saying that poise is identifiable but not really a “measurable”

the worst case scenario for the Bears is CW cant learn to read defenses like Justin Fields/Trey Lance or he never gets calm and eventually gets gun shy like Trubisky/Daniel Jones

Exactly. And Caleb never displayed that trait throughout his college career.

right, which to me is why he was not a surefire draft pick
