ACC Scores:
NC State: 45
USF: 0
VT: 17
#10 UNC: 10
Charlotte: 31
Duke: 28
WF: 42
ODU: 10
#1 Bama: 44
#14: Miami: 13
#5 UGA: 10
#3 Clemson: 3
Colgate: 0
BC: 51
UMass: 7
Pitt: 51
Syracuse: 29
Ohio: 9
Northern Illinois: 22
GT: 21
UVA: 43
W&M: 0
#9 ND: 41
FSU: 38
So that's 5 non-conference losses. Three of those were to top 10 teams, the other two were against non-P5s. And there's a 6th loss with top-10 UNC losing an ACC foe. No signature wins.
Ole Miss and Louisville play tonight.
PAC-12
#24 Utah: 40
Weber St. :17
#25 ASU: 41
Southern Utah: 14
Northern Colorado: 7
Colorado: 35
Fresno St.: 24
#11 Oregon: 31
San Jose St.: 7
#15 USC: 30
#16 LSU: 27
UCLA: 38
Montana: 13
#20 Washington: 7
Stanford: 7
Kansas St: 24
Oregon St. 21
Purdue: 30
Nevada: 22
Cal: 7
BYU: 24
Arizona: 16
Utah St.: 26
WSU: 23
So that's 6 losses for the PAC-12, 4 of which were to non P-5s, but they do have the best non-conference win of any PAC-12 or ACC school so far.

Honorable mention to the Big Ten West. Only a week in and the entire division is 2-4 in conference play, one of those wins against another B1G West team

Every team had a bad weekend.
They just found out they’re all playing for 2nd place.

Look at that game again buddy

FSU is still probably 2 years, maybe 1 from competing with Clemson. The ACC desperately needs FSU to be "back"

ACC having 3 top 15 teams lose and look like shite in doing it
Besides Washington’s embarrassment there’s not much else. Maybe Stanford. Oregon could have won by more but it won’t matter really.

If FSU starts Milton at QB they could surprise a few teams.

ACC easily. Their two best teams lost while national audiences watched and their third best team has major issues.
PAC-12 took so hard Ls, but at least they won their biggest OOC game of the weekend.
Ranking the first weekend for each conference I’d go:
SEC
Big Ten
Big 12
Pac-12
ACC

Out of the two in the OP it's the ACC but IMO the American had by far the worst weekend out of the FBS conferences.
They started the weekend with news that Cincinnati, UCF, and Houston, are probably leaving for the Big 12 as early as next year and then they went 4-7 w/several bad losses. Their only win of note was by a team that is leaving the conference. The only other bright spot was Tulane playing so well against OU.
Wins
UCF over Boise - 36-31
Cincy over Miami Ohio 49-14
SMU over Abil Christian - 56-9
Memphis over Nicholls - 42-17
Losses
UC Davis over Tulsa - 19-17
App St over ECU - 33-17
Marshall over Navy - 49-7
NC State over USF - 45-0
Rutgers over Temple - 61-14
Texas Tech over Houston - 38-21
OU over Tulane - 40-35

What exactly is so funny? FSU can definitely compete with clemson in the coming years. They're the type of program that can turn it around in a hurry because of where they're situated
