Yeah I still hate football right now.

Not sure if I'm gonna go back.

Honest answer?

Last year burned me out on both College and Pro football.
It felt like there's no point in getting excited or hoping for the best.
Something's gonna stop you from winning.

Obviously, the last Saints game was discussed ad infinitum; but that A&M game...

Once I left working in NCAA sports and Katrina it didn’t matter if football was on. I like football but it doesn’t consume me. There’s more important things going on in my life.

I still do not understand how folks allow football to dictate their lives as an adult especially when it doesn’t pay your bills

that was me five or so years ago. I'd let an OU loss ruin my whole week until the next game.
Now, by Sunday morning I'm over it. Mostly

For me it was the teen years, but you're correct, the older you get the less you will care about it. I find I only care about MLB nowadays.

It’s not just the important things in life. I find that the simple things in life are more enjoyable than a certain team winning as I get older. Simple things like the first taste of a crawfish season, repairing things around the house, learning about nature.

At certain point, you realize each game is repetitive story. 4th and goal with 16 seconds left. Either they make it or they don’t. You’ve seen it before and it’ll happen again. Then you realize that it’s no big deal. Now, I do enjoy when a cocky athlete gets humbled or a dirty/coach team lose. I’ll just have a little smirk and go about my day.

Lame argument.

Baseball lasts 3+ hours and ends 1-0, yet people claim to love that shite.

I can’t wait either. Oregon has finally put together a roster that is competitive. It’s been awhile and starting off against Auburn doesn’t help.

I'm a Tampa Bay sports fan... so, absolutely not. I like my weekends fishing in the bay and no shortage of sports events: women's final four, Rowdies getting going, Ray's might surprise, and Lightning might just be the best ever.

I'm quite happy enjoying baseball season right now... I find it's more enjoyable following multiple sports. Keeps you from getting burnt out on one thing.

I also never understand why ppl go out of their way to tell you how much they don't care about certain sports. If you really didn't care seems like you just wouldn't post about it at all.
