The 95 playoff run was amazing, no one, including Shaq and MJ were better than Hakeem was during that playoff run.
Most incredible NBA performance of my lifetime. His combination of size, skills, footwork all came together in this performance. He was Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven in one basketball player displaying his masterpiece.

Shaq's soph year was outrageous.

maybe no Alindor but i think he was better than Walton

I know winning something has no value on this web site but I think it is a factor. I was too young to watch Wilt or Alcinder in college. Walton was the best college center Ive ever seen. Akeem second, Ewing third, Shaq fourth. Walton was the ultimate team player and did EVERYTHING well. Scorer, rebounds, blocked shots, defense, outlet pass etc. He had a great skill set and played hard every time down the floor.

Ive never seen a college player have a better game than his against Memphis State in the Finals.

Would thought Waltons #'s were better but keep in mind there was no shot clock then and he and Alcindor had better talent around them and didn't have to do it all like Shaq. Seeing Shaqs stats it pisses me off we didn't get to 1 sweet 16. I mean Robinson got Navy to the elite 8 once for crying out loud. I'm probably holding the lack of team success unfairly against Shaq. Also I remember it seemed so obvious he would be better in the pros that I didn't appreciate his numbers that or because I was piss drunk at most of those games

its a factor, but its also a team achievement. Its not fair to hold 1 player accountable for a teams shortcomings.

Richard Washington
Henry Bibby
David Meyers
Ed O'Bannon
Kiki Vandeweghe
David Greenwood

UNC's bench doesn't get beat by any bench out there.

Starters just to name 5. Arguments could be made to replace a player or two with many options.

North Carolina:
G - Michael Jordan
G - Vince Carter
F - James Worthy
F - Rasheed Wallace
C - Bob McAdoo

Bench

Kenny Smith
Antwan Jamison
Jerry Stackhouse
Tyler Hansbrough
Billy Cunningham
Mitch Kupchak
Phil Ford
Ty Lawson
Sam Perkins
J.R. Reid
Rick Fox
Bobby Jones
Brad Daugherty
Sean May
Walter Davis

That some awesome names. I think if I was putting a starting 5 together to actually play. I would go with:

PG Phil Ford
SG Jordan
SF Walter Davis
SF Worthy
C McAdoo

Go small, tough to stop!

Any mention of Notre Dame without Kelly Tripucka is a travesty.

Hell, even Tripucka's mustache is good for about 6 points a game.

Maybe the most impressive thing about LSU's top five is simply that it's only UCLA - UNC - Kansas type programs that measure up.
Another thing that's interesting is that UK is probably tops in all-time history without the same star power at the top.

Its also the most depressing thing given the titles those schools have and our zero banners.

LOL at an all UCLA team without O'Bannon.

Uconn

Ben Gordon
Rip Hamilton
Ray Allen
Emeka Okafor
Hasheem Thabeet

As far as the college game goes Rip Hamilton and Ray Allen are arguable the 2 of the best shooters of all time

O'Bannon went 32-1 and won a championship pretty much by himself after Jabar and Walton he is UCLA's 3rd best player.

I'm pretty sure he was there for more than 1 year.

Yeah, Tyus Edny and Toby Bailey were hoorible college players, especially in the toruney that year.

Edny was especially terrible when he drove the lenght of the court to make the game winning shot to beat Missouri by 1. But yeah O Bannon won it by himslef

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I've never seen anyone else make that contention. Usually the starting 5 for UCLA all time that I've seen is Goodrich/Miller/M.Johnson/Alcindor and either Walton or Wickes. Its not laughable to add or omit O Bannon.
