Pelphrey, as the coach of UNC's all-time greats, would lose to Coach K and Duke's all-timers. That's how bad Pel is.

ESPN did a fantasy tourney once.
LSU was the 3rd seed.
I think Houston could take them.
San Fran had a solid all-time team.

LSU and Michigan State.
I'd take UCLA over both and UNC over LSU, although I'm not sure they've ever had anyone who could handle Shaq.

UNC ain't number one, certainly don't see them as number two IMHO. Worthy and Jordan can't do it all alone.
Like y'all said, Georgetown is sick (doesn't matter which two you take out of that seven).

LSU versus Houston would be, to me, the most entertaining matchup. Shaq vs Hakeem, with both players in their primes, would have me drooling.

Fme with the historical stuff (USF), let's get Havlicek, Cousy and company out! ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Orlando vs. Houston.
Hakeem >>>>>>>>>>>>Shaq
And I am a HUGE Shaq fan.

Their careers overlapped some. Hakeem straight up owned Shaq in the 95 finals though.

Hakeem is easily one of my all-time favorite players.

Big O used to eat Shaq up like a jello puddin pop

Hakeem dominated Shaq when Shaq was still young.
Shaq in his prime>>Olajuwon

Who was the second best center in the league when Shaq was in his prime?
Posted on 3/30/10 at 8:16 pm to Lsupimp
Jackson and Maravich would light it up from the 3. As long as Shaq avoids foul trouble we would be able to just outscore anyone.
UCLA would be the only formidable opponent due to Walton and Kareem.
Oh an LSU has MT5 coming off the bench

Olajuwon, Robinson, Ewing, Zo, they had a lot of good centers during the period
Posted on 3/30/10 at 8:24 pm to Lester Earl
Olajuwon, Robinson and Ewing were past their primes when Shaq was most successful. Zo was the second best center for a year or two before the kidney ailment. I suppose Mutombo was the second best center during the Lakers' championship years. Shaq benefited from a league-wide decline at his position. It also helped that he played with better teammates consistently throughout his career.
Olajuwon vs. Shaq is a toss up. Not clear cut. But Shaq had a couple of inherent advantages during his career.

LSU's team could be coached by a baboon and still spank Duke's.
