An old Washington Senator who was employed by the Rangers into his 70's once told me the Whitesox games were longer than most, especially their home games, because Reinsdorf owned ARA Services that do White Sox, and a lot of other teams' concessions. He said Jerry let their pitchers know he wanted them to take their time between pitches. This was pre-pitching clock MLB.

I highly doubt this because Mark Buehrle was one of Jerry's favorite players ever, and he worked faster than anybody in MLB. Home starts could take 2 hrs or less.
What Jerry does do is keep all the concessions open during rain delays, then wait forever to announce that the game was postponed or suspended.

Something doesn’t sit right. Either sell it or don’t, but all this option to buy in 9 years seems crazy .

If the Bears cant get a new stadium, you can bet the CWS definitely wont. "New" Comiskey is arguably one of the worst stadiums in the league. Its looking like the Rays will probably move to Orlando, so Nashville will push and get the CWS within 10 years. Book it.
