This year, Brees because he'll go farther than Brady.

Do we want to consider the fact that Brees has played 10 of his 17 playoff games under a dome?
Sure. I am all for analysis

Brees outdoor playoff games stats (1 home game, 1 neutral, 5 road games)

65.3%--340.9 yards/game--2 tds/game--.85 ints/game--93.37 rating

That 62.8% did seem low for Brees

You havent been watching Brady if you dont think he also looks washed.

Brees is having his most hampered season ever and yet!

Hes still got a better cmp% than Brady. Hes got a better int% than Brady. A better passer rating and QBR than Brady. the same Yards per attempt than Brady.

Somehow people only watch highlights of announcers going "TOM BRADY!"

Also Brees owns Brady in H2H professional games.

As far as H2H Saints are without a doubt the better all around team and I expect them to prove it this weekend. I know the numbers, but what I’m saying is repeated because everyone has seen Brees throw a football downfield this year and it’s not a pretty sight. I know he’s also hurt but it was an issue pre injury as well. Brady obviously isn’t what he was in his prime but he’s still capable of challenging a defense vertically. I don’t remember the exact rank but Brees is something like second to last in air yards per pass attempt and Brady is top 3.

The fact Brees is still effective is a testament to how cerebral he is but if I’m trying to win a playoff game I’ll take the QB who keeps most of the playbook open every time.

ETA And as I said, if we are talking the prime version of each I’d probably lean Brees but it’s close

That’s like Barry bonds having a lower home run per ab after 100 games vs some guy who’s only played 50 and was hot out the gate.

Terrible take. Brees' 16 games is equivalent to an entire season.

Last year Tom Brady was 28th in Air yards per attempt....mahomes who was unreal last year was 13th

It just has no real correlation to who is playing QB at a high level

2020 leaders in air yards

1. Flacco
2. Hurts
3. Brady
4. Lock
5 Wentz

He had maybe the worst collection of weapons in the NFL in a shitty offense.

Do you think this is the case for 2020 Drew Brees

Brees WRs this year have been pretty blah.

He has played most of the season without Thomas and Sanders

But anyway, there is no correlation between air yards and good QB play

Case in point

2020 leaders in air yards

1. Flacco
2. Hurts
3. Brady
4. Lock
5 Wentz

Disregarding stats - he was probably the best at throwing deep down the seam I have ever seen in the NFL in his prime. Do you think this type of play is an option at this stage in his career?

I love how the Daints overcame so much during the season and still finish 12-4. Amazing.....BUT this is not the same Tampa team from week 9. I hope I’m wrong but I think the Saints luck runs out this weekend......

I noticed you completely left off ypa, td %, and int%.

You also left off a lot of other various factors, but we know why.

Brees playoffs

5.2 td%—1.7 int %—7.6 yards per attempt

Brady playoffs

4.5 td%—2.1 int %—7.1 yrds per attempt

Did that go how you thought it would?

Yeh, that def didn’t go how you wanted it

The brees truthers that are so jealous of Brady are hilarious.

In no world is brees better than him, except for being woke

Which one is 0-1 against that juggernaut Kirk Cousins in the playoffs again?

Brady is an easy choice here.
