I wanna add Ozzie Albies to this list also. Dude is on a HoF trajectory and not too many people realize just how good he is.

And he's the emotional leader of The Braves, hands down. He is that dude
frick me you are the best

I wonder if Austin Riley will make it. I doubt it but I wish he would
I know this is a joke, but Riley could legitimately have a shot if he continues on his current pace for ~5 more years. He’s only 26, has 133 bombs. Could feasibly reach 300 hr and ~1,500 hits by 2028 and still have several years of his career left. He was 6th in MVP last year (and really should’ve been higher) and should finish with mvp votes again in the future. If he’s a career Brave with multiple World Series titles, 350+ hr and an mvp thrown in I don’t see how he doesn’t make it. Regardless, I don’t see anyone else wearing 27 for the Braves once he’s gone.

idk he’s definitely a great 2nd baseman, but his war is extremely low being this deep into his career, although that can be blamed on 2020 + a few injuries. If Ozzie stays relatively healthy for the rest of his career I think he’ll make it. He won’t ever have the flashy hardware (besides maybe a couple gold gloves, of which he should already have) that Riley, Acuna, Olson will have. I’m afraid that might hurt him in voters eyes.

He is already in. To even have the debate about it is quite comical.

Adam Wainwright just finished his career with 200 wins.

quote:

Wainwright will now head into the broadcast booth having completed an 18-season career that saw him tally those aforementioned 200 wins, as well as compile a 3.53 ERA (113 ERA+) and a 2.99 strikeout-to-walk ratio. His contributions were worth an estimated 40.5 Wins Above Replacement, according to Baseball-Reference's calculations.

For those wondering, Wainwright ranks ninth in Cardinals franchise history in Wins Above Replacement. He's second among pitchers, trailing only the legendary Bob Gibson, who finished his career with 81.7 WAR.
