They really don't want a team in LA...
True. It reminds me of how NFL teams used Baltimore as leverage to get new stadiums in their team's cities for years until Cleveland finally moved there. Having no team in LA allows NFL owners to use LA as a threat to finagle new stadiums from their cities when they want to.

When I went to SBXLIV, they flew us into Miami Airport and took us on a shuttle for 30 minutes to the stadium. We went to a party at the racetrack, but there was no time to take in the Miami atmosphere.
Even if you flew in to NO the day of like I did in Miami, you could still hang out in the Quarter for 4-5 hours and then walk to the game.

Miami is so spread out it just isn't the same, and I have been there for a Super Bowl
I'd have to say New Orleans, easy...

The NFL makes the rules...so, the question...'why they haven't gone back there' is a question...why they think it's important to so stipulate if they in fact what a team in L.A.?

Bench McElroy, the OP's question was best CITY, not game. Typical bama flame, knock La every chance he gets. But then I guess he has no clue bout Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Mardi Gras, Essance, the SB, the Final Four, too many regionals to count, political conventions, all of which brings, literally millions & millions of fans back to La every yr, yr after yr. Help me with what city in bama has a third of that resume? And the Flora/bama does not count.

Miami
I go with Miami for any big event though.
And it is very simple for me, I ask myself where I would rather spend 3-7 days and then it isn't even a fair competetion.
And I like NOLA and have been there to party for 1 or 2 nights about 15-20 times in my life.

I went to Miami, and i really enjoyed the time spent in South Beach.
but the drive to the stadium sucked. And more importantly, trying to get back to South Beach to celebrate was pretty much thrown out of the window because of the walk back to the car, the traffic, and then the drive.
Whoever wins in the game in NOLA, you are in walking distance to celebrate. I honestly cant see how you can beat that.
That's not even factoring other built in entertainment(Casino, music, food, bar scene) that is in walking distance. Couple that with the hotels (like 50k rooms within walking distance of the dome) and you really cant beat it.
The weather this week after Weds should be really nice too.

Buffalo.. put a little cold in your lives

What does the outcome of the game have to do with the place?
Most people would say New Orleans and perhaps correctly
I'm biased because
1) I live in NOLA, so the experience is pretty routine for me
2) I watched the saints win the Super Bowl in Miami and everything was perfect. The weather, the atmosphere, the outcome. Reggie Bush was in the stands with me. My brother and I were on TV. I touched the lombardi trophy. Eating Cuban sandwiches and watching the highlights in the hotel room over and over and over. I still have the confetti.
ETA: falcons fans must read.

It wasn't bad on the way back. I needed time to process what I just saw.

To me this is not a big deal. I had bama grad friends in town for the BCSNCG. A 15 minute ride to the game (staying in Aventura) or 30-40 minutes from SOBE. Big deal. Is it that difficult to catch a cab or whatever for 30 minutes? You prefer days or a week of inferior activities and entertainment to 30 minutes?
And for post game party, go to the Hardrock. 6-7 miles from the stadium and a MUCH better entertainment complex than anything in NOLA. Maybe as much fun as the entire French Quarter for a single night of partying. Much much better clubs, bars, and casino all in one complex than Burbon street.

Walking down to the FQ or Marigny after your team just won the Super Bowl > taking a 45 minute can ride back to your hotel and then walking wherever you want to go. Ocean drive is a tourist trap.
