When I went to SBXLIV, they flew us into Miami Airport and took us on a shuttle for 30 minutes to the stadium. We went to a party at the racetrack, but there was no time to take in the Miami atmosphere.

I was on that same charter flight

Walking down to the FQ or Marigny after your team just won the Super Bowl > taking a 45 minute can ride back to your hotel and then walking wherever you want to go. Ocean drive is a tourist trap.

Oh, I agree. But I would take a 6 mile 15 minute cab ride to the Hardrock instead. Better party facility than the 15 best bars and clubs of the FQ put together. Not to mention a vastly supperior casino than Harrahs.

To me this is not a big deal. I had bama grad friends in town for the BCSNCG. A 15 minute ride to the game (staying in Aventura) or 30-40 minutes from SOBE. Big deal. Is it that difficult to catch a cab or whatever for 30 minutes? You prefer days or a week of inferior activities and entertainment to 30 minutes?

the game ended at like 11. the parking was so bad we had a 20 minute walk to our car. then the drive back to South Beach(we stayed on collins ave). It was 2am by the time we got back. had to check out and had a 16hr drive back to new orleans.

yea no big deal losing 2-3 hours of celebrating because of where the stadium is located

And for post game party, go to the Hardrock. 6-7 miles from the stadium and a MUCH better entertainment complex than anything in NOLA. Maybe as much fun as the entire French Quarter for a single night of partying.

I will assume you have never been to the Hardrock, yet are laughing, correct?

And your poor planning is your own fault...

Miami has certainly hosted more memorable Super Bowls than New Orleans. Miami has been the host to games such as Super Bowl XXIII between the Bengals and 49ers, the two SB clashes between the Steelers and Cowboys in the '70s, the Colts/Cowboys SB that was won on a last second field goal and of course, Super Bowl III. All New Orleans has is the Super Bowl between the Patriots and Rams. All of their other Super Bowls were either snoozers or complete blowouts.

The outcome of the game doesn't have any bearing on the city/venue itself.

I'm not zealously defending New Orleans, because I haven't been to Miami or San Diego, but your point really wasn't relevant to the argument.

Im laughing because last time we brought this up, you wouldnt shut the frick up about being on South Beach and how awesome it was and how you had the best time in your life at a FLO-Rida concert. So im not going to exactly hold you as an authority of having a good time

I stayed in south beach, why would i go to a fricking casino after the game?

the only thing i could have changed was to stay an extra day, and had i done that i would have missed the celebration parade. So there wasnt much planning that could have made the end of that night better

You really have no clue. Sorry for partying.

Because your stupid arse was just whining about the trip back. And since you think the Hardrock is just a casino, like I said, you have no damn clue whatsoever and have never been there. Better to just keep your mouth shut about things you know nothing about.

That has zero bearing on the city's hosting potential.

The clear answer is NOLA. It's literally built for this sort of thing. Its a tourism town.

My experience leaving the stadium and going back to south beach was similar. The saints had just won the SB so I didn't give a shite.

Why do you keep saying that? Are you some sort of retard?

The beach concerts (notice more than 1) lasted all day until 9-10pm. Multiple stages and acts all day and night and about 100k people.

Personally, I spent about 1 hour at the beach concerts. And FYI, that included less than 10 minutes of Flo-rida as I was leaving the beach for Mango's then an awesome party at the Clevelander by the time Flo got on stage. In fact the 10 minutes I heard him was the amount of time it spent me to get from the ocean area to Ocean Drive.

Again, better to just keep quite than continue to show how clueless you are Lester.

didnt really give a shite either considering...but we had planned to celebrate in South Beach for at least a few hours, and time just didnt permit. Nothing my planning could do would have really changed that

What it comes down to is planning and knowing your way around South Florida. Because NOLA is not even in the conversation if you do.

Oh yeah, also the amount of time you plan to spend. I will say NOLA is the better option for 1-2 days with one night of partying. I'll agree with that. However 3 days, 2 nights plus it's Miami in a no-brainer (assuming you can afford it as Miami is probably triple the cost on average).
