Y'all have been blessed with basically never having a down year under Pop that it has to help. Let's see what happens when he retires.
Please be soon :praying:

Blazers. Not much of a question IMO.

The city of Portland, that has one professional team, and they care about the Blazers -- I always call them the Soccer Moms lovingly. They are so over the top. I went on the Blazersedge board yesterday. Your feature had been up for four hours and there were 375 comments under the link. You have this rabid fanbase, all they do is dissect every possible thing that's happening with this team.

I have noticed our fair share of bandwagoners here in Memphis due to our recent success.
SA never really had a lot of bandwagon fans even in Texas. Probly a combination of having to compete with two other state franchises in bigger markets, a growing international cast, or the doggedness of the "boring" label. Most every Spurs fan I've met has been pretty hardcore, although as I get older I'm running into more and more who were too young to remember '99 and started following back in '02 or '03. Not to take away from those loyal fans, but the current run means the world to guys like me who remember the heartbreaks and struggles of the pre-Duncan days.

It's crazy to think that the sentiment in San Antonio back in early 1999 was that Pop was too controlling and needed to be fired after the Spurs started 6-8 that year.
Then.......everything just clicked and the rest is history.

Bound to happen sooner or later

I will say this: that same Bill Simmons was also blown away this past summer when he visited the Alamo City for the Finals for the first time. He'd never been to the AT&T Center and seen how we do, and he compared Spurs fans' rowdiness to the rambunctiousness of a hockey crowd.

Nothing but good things to say about Blazer's Edge. Our most active game threads on PoundingTheRock are when we play the Blazers. Even when they were down, there was always great, passionate discussion between the fanbases.
And thanks for Patty Mills (a.k.a., the BAKER'S MAN) btw

Bound to happen sooner or later Imma enjoy it while it lasts, even if we never win another title.
Hell just being in contention for one is enough for me. Last season was probably one of the most enjoyable experiences for me as a fan.
The couple days between the semi's and the WCF when people on Sportscenter were actually forced to talk about the Grizz made me so happy. Then y'all had to go and ruin it all

We Spurs fans were thinking the same thing
First round everyone was mourning the lakers being without Kobe.
Second round ESPN and the rest of the media were all over Curry and the Warriors' nuts

Payback for '11, you understand
Love me some Grizz bball, though

I'd say either SA or POR is #1 but since I'm a Blazer fan we both know which one I'm picking
Last year though watching Patty look a little more polished and the energy he brings off the bench was a little bittersweet. He's come a long ways. Pop is the goat coach. The Phil Jackson slurpers can GTFO!

No true fan can pick against their team. I don't care if that makes us homerish

He really has. Just an endearing, never quit attitude that has made him a fan favorite. So happy to have him in silver and black and healthy. I know he was injured a significant amount of time while he was in Portland and he was actually shut down during the Finals last year (could have used him to finish off the Heat
First time in a LONG time I've had confidence in who we have backing up Parker off the bench.

I'm not knocking the Spurs fans...but, I'm not sure their "loyalty" and "commitment" has been truly tested since David Robinson was drafted. It's easy to have a great fanbase when you are contending pretty much every year.

I read the article and it is bogus.
The article also lists 7-8 sub-categories and San Antonio was #1 on four of them. Memphis wasn't #1 on any of them. So how does Memphis get the #1 spot over San Antonio?

Most Loyal and Committed?
Easily the Raptors... Yall need to watch their games. Always sold out, and their boards are crazy.
