Which incompetent Coach gets fired first: LA Tech's Cumbie or ULL's Desormeaux?

Both are clearly overmatched idiots. Which school can afford to cut bait first?

Both of them are year 1 right? They should at least get 2 or 3 seasons to try to right the ship

Desormeaux sunk the ship that Sun Belt Billy launched.

Tech’s AD should be sent packing. Dude is a dipshit.

Yeah but he pillaged that team on the way out the door and USL in it’s true form is an average program. Got to temper those expectations a bit

Desormeaux torpedo’d a ship that could have been perennial 10-2/9-3.

Hud and Napier showed that you can win routinely in Lafayette

2-3 star players from Louisiana with decent coaching can get you 8-10 wins a year in the Fun Belt

Desormeaux hasn't proven that he's a basket-case. He's probably going to make a bowl. Fans always think their team has the talent. But he had no QB, big holes in the OL. They got killed by FSU, and were killed by Texas (who wasn't as good as FSU) last year. The difference between beating and losing to S Alabama was S Alabama's kicker missing the game-winner last year and making it this year. He did blow the Troy game. They only looked really terrible in like 2 games this season.
Crumbie on the other hand...proves once again that getting a "P5 coordinator" doesn't mean much.

Cumbie is fricking lost. He’s trying to be the HC, OC and QB coach and has failed miserably.

However, talent wise, Tech has really fallen off. Skip was just going through the motions after 2019. He ran the program into the ground.

It’s Cumbie’s first year after the debacle that was Skip Holtz. He easily gets another 1-2 years to get his players & his system installed & see where it goes. Our AD Wood is good. I have no problem with him. He is heads & tails above Tommy McCleland who was a major POS. Wood took over right before TX-OU announced they were leaving go to the SEC causing the conference shakeups. He’s been put in a very tough position with the abomination that is CUSA.

He really had the team ready to play against a Charlotte team with a 2-8 record.

Desormeaux getting them to a bowl especially after how the season started is fine imo

The team won an absolute load of close games in the last two years. It's hard to continue that.

Tech is in a rut right now. I don't know what the solution is for them. Maybe they can stack kids from that great team Ruston HS has this year

Desormeaux is one of them. Cumbie goes first.

He also lost some major talent to the portal going into the season

A little context, La Tech’s starting senior QB has been out with injury for a good portion of the season. If Parker McNeil doesn’t get hurt against rice and was able to play charlotte and FIU, I think those games are wins instead of losses. Landry Lyddy just wasn’t ready.
