Key Arena used to be live when the Supersonics had GP and Shawn Kemp. I would have loved to go to a game there

How the hell is Key a historical arena? It was built after the United Center.

You asked this in response to a post about Boston Garden. No, it was demolished about 15 years ago. It was a real shithole in every sense of the word, as a facility. The connection between the Celtics and Bruins and their fans overcame the physical shortcomings though, so it will always be "fondly remembered". The rats were seen running in groups of 500 when the walls came tumbling down.

The Palestra, Assembly Hall, Hinkle Fieldhouse and Cameron would be at the top of my list.
The only historical arena that I've been to is Williams Arena. Which is a great place to watch a college basketball game.

For the record, I've actually been on the sidelines of Cameron Indoor while Shane Battier was shooting 3's for practice in a really hot North Carona summer day. But we got asked to leave shortly there after.

I was on the bench watching Brand Battier and Magette make us look like children in the Meadowlands. But the weekend before we made Tennessee look like dummies in Charlotte.

I've been to Rupp, Assembly Hall at IU, and Freedom Hall.
My wishlist would have to be the Garden, Phog Allen, and Cameron.
Practicing on Vanderbilt's court was one of the strangest feelings. Elevated floors, place feels like it is meant for concerts not basketball, and the goals posts are unlike any thing I have ever seen. Extremely easy gym to shoot in though.
I think the Tad Pad at Ole Miss was worse than rec center gyms we would play tournaments in.

Bradley's raised floor in an airport hanger was weird. But the lines were great what our shooters said.

I played on a substate game on the strangest court in High school. It was elevated but on an extreme level. If you went to one end of the court and looked down about 30 or 40 feet there was a big arse lap pool underneath it.

I'm surprised Cole Fieldhouse hasn't been said. Especially in early 2000s that place looked to be an incredible place to watch a game.

Cole when Gary Williams had Maryland peaking would have been awesome. Also, historical in a sense that UTEP won their natty there.
Random, but Texas Hall used to he the home of UT Arlington. They basically put a court on a theater stage.

Cole isn't used anymore though. I guess I should have clarified active arenas.
All ones listed are good except Key. I just can't see how an arena built in the 90's can be considered historic.

I heard they were gonna do a special at Cole with UTEP and Kentucky for a 50th anniversary. Not sure if that's possible.
