The Saints barely won any games this year and Brees is the fourth best QB in the league.

They went what 8-8?

Thats still 6 games further away from 0-16 than Sanchez was away from a SB

I believe they won two or three. They sure were a lot better under the bounty program and when Payton could get refills on his painkillers.

wut

They went 7-9 with the worst defense in NFL history. If anything that strengthens the case that there is no chance in hell the best QB in the league could go 0-16

I don't think he was the best during his era but Archie Manning just missed 0-16 one year for the Saints. I still think the latter is more likely. I.E. Dilfer, Brad Johnson

I think it would be a better arguement if you would change it from 0-16 to worst record in the NFL, but I'd still say the worst qb winning the Super Bowl is more likely.

a top 3 QB is worth 5-6 wins a year with no supporting cast

FIFY

A terrible QB with an amazing OL, RB, WR/TE, and the a great defense can have the best record in the NFL.

Peyton Manning/Aaron Rodgers on the worst team in NFL history will still win 4-5 games minimum.

The Saints literally had the worst defense in NFL history.

Are we to assume the Super Bowl winning team is a fluke team like the Giants that backs in to the playoffs, or does the team actually have to be good?

Well they did back into the playoffs. That part is true

And they did get away with murder on holding calls in the SB. That part is true

But i digress

I don't think of winning 3 of your last 4 games as backing into the Playoffs.

Trent Dilfer is a worse QB than Brad Johnson.
