Mediocre QBs have already won super bowls. Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson are a couple that come to mind.
They might not be the worst in the league but these days the guy that is the worst in the league probably isn't that bad of a QB.
Tebow and Sanchez both brought their teams to the playoffs with a supporting cast around them. It's much much more likely for a mediocre QB to win a super bowl than it is for someone like Tom Brady to have an 0-16 season.
