A bit of a difference in benching your highest paid player compared to having two of them forced to the bench with injuries.
Put it this way - were they ever really challenged?

Can't count those 2 horrific games GS played in the NBA Finals because oh boy, they were bad games. What the frick
They weren't just bad games. They were 2 of their top 5 worst games in a 100+ game sample size.

But do you think that if Kyrie and Love were healthy that GS would have won this series? 4-2 4-3?
There's no way of knowing this. The Cavs may have won the series, but at the same time the Cavs pushed this to 6 playing an entirely different style of ball then they are accustomed to and wanted to play.
LeBron played out of his mind as far as an individual player goes. His efficiency would likely have been better, but his raw statistics wouldn't have been anything close to what he did in this series if he has Kyrie and Love with him.
Cleveland won games 2 and 3 by slowing down the game to a snail's pace and let LeBron do everything. There's no telling who would have won if the cavs were healthy enough to play faster. GS likes to play fast. That's what they are best at.

You put a lot of effort into a solid post. Have an upvote.

Yes. With Love and Kyrie they are a better team, but they also play right in to the Warrior's hands. The Iso LeBron stuff worked so well because it completely slowed down the pace. Once the Warriors figured out how to get the pace back up they killed the Cavs.
this.

Nice deflection.
The original point was about the Warriors' depth. I don't recall a recent champion, much less any NBA team, with that kind of depth. Do you want to dispute that?

IMO, this series doesn't go more than 5....
Jesus tapdancing christ
Cleveland got to a game 6 with fricking Mozgov and Dellevadova as their #2 and #3 options.... JR Smith and Shumpert disappeared after the conf. finals... there wasn't anyone left to throw at GS, who didn't have anyone out at all, and they still made a series out of it... hell, it was very close to being 3-0 CLE right out the gate...
yeah, with Kyrie and Kevin, CLE wins this handily....

And in the final 13 quarters of the series the Warriors outscored the Cavs by around 60-70 points.
Truly shocking they couldn't replicate their performances against garbage arse EC teams
It was also nearly a sweep from the Warriors. See how that works?

And facepalm? Do you need to see the records of the top east teams vs the west? And it's not even that. Just because we are all in awe of the Spurs most years, doesn't mean them being a 6 seed or whatever holds any weight in any single year.
And you used Davis being really good but being an 8 seed as a reason why the West was amazing?! Good lord

how was nearly a sweep by the Warriors? they were down 2-1.... they were NEVER in a position to sweep Cleveland... they had the upper hand, especially after game 1, even after going down 2-1, but they were never in position to sweep them....
had Lebron had a better last possession in Game 1, it's 3-0 Cleveland and they may still have a semi healthy Kyrie Irving....

I mean that is what happened. Do I really need to go hunt down the amount of uncontested jumpers they missed in those games? Hint: It was a lot.

I agree with the second of this but if Irving & Love play this series, it would definitely given the Cavs the opportunity to match what Golden State did offensively.
Yes, the Cavs played with a ton of energy on defense this series but the Warriors also seemed to go through droughts were the moment of playing in the Finals seemed to be in their heads. They didn't play their best ball this entire series.
Also, the would have been two more bodies for the Cavs to rotate in. You could see that the limited rotation the Cavs used had them absolutely spent in the 4th quarter of all 6 games. The outcome of a few these could have turned drastically had the Cavs had some fresher bodies & minds.

Except you can't just add two players and call it a day.
The Cavs won those two games by playing out of character. They were forced by injuries to nuke their gameplan and what they came up with worked for a time because it was the antithesis of Warrior's ball.
Their gameplan if they were healthy could easily have played right into the style of game that GS thrives in.

very much so.... probably on the same level as the Dallas championship team....
i agree, and in fact, i would take that dallas team with Dirk at his best over this golden state team.
Golden State losing 2 games to this dog shite cleveland team, and also allowing game 1 and 5 wins to be close calls really makes me doubt the greatness of the '15 warriors.
