They normally like great on campus environments, so the neutral site games aren't usually what they're looking for.

But if they think they can can find a spot where plenty of fans of both teams will be giving their all, like Atlanta outside the College Football Hall of Fame would be OK for them.

I'm with you. I actually enjoy watching College Gameday. I wish Chris Fowler was still the man and not Rece Davis.

I think they go to South Bend. 2nd choice Atlanta.

Week 2 will be college station possibly.

I didn't switch, I added, I'm a fan of both now. Hoping for the best for both Joey B and Haskins.

I think that the reports of OSU's death have been greatly exaggerated.

[Edited for a typo fix.]

Here were my predictions I made on the SEC Rant. I wouldn’t be surprised if they went to ND-Michigan because of all the Big 10 stories from the offseason.

Clemson-A&M is Jimbo’s first big home game, and I think there’s a decent chance they go to USC @ Texas in week 3. If they’re thinking about that they might pass on Stanford-USC in week 2.

i think week 2 is between palo alto and college station. maaaaaybe pittsburgh but i think thats a distant third. pretty much comes down to the better game vs the better environment. week 3 is pretty open and shut with austin. after that im holding off to see how the early season unfolds

Prefer they go to a campus over neutral site location and just so happens two historic programs play one another in South Bend.

Pretty likely it’ll be south bend because

A) Blue blood rivalry game
B) On campus atmospheres are generally better

I think the best game will be in Atlanta but that game has neither of the two things above, the latter of which MAKES Gameday

Notre Dame-Michigan game is on NBC. They have featured non-ESPN games on Game day before, but I am sure that they would rather plug their own televised games. It appears that Southbend is the best choice, though.

All Notre Dame home games are NBC games. It has been that way for several years.

i may be in the minority but i enjoy college gameday. yes, the actual analysis that you get is poor, its pretty hot takey, and they go a little overboard with human interest pieces. however, the environment that it brings about and the amount of different topics that they do cover always make it entertaining. at least in my opinion
