i may be in the minority but i enjoy college gameday. yes, the actual analysis that you get is poor, its pretty hot takey, and they go a little overboard with human interest pieces. however, the environment that it brings about and the amount of different topics that they do cover always make it entertaining. at least in my opinion

with that said, i think we have a few interesting options for week 1

atlanta for auburn and washington
south bend for notre dame and michigan
orlando for bama and louisville
DFW for lsu and the U
tallahassee for FSU and va tech

i think they will end up picking south bend due to the revival of the michigan and notre dame rivalry which should be really fun. but i could see the four others being fine choices as well

I wish they would go
To independence community college, where last chance U is being filmed. They could interview Malik Henry and coach Jason Brown

If they want the best game, they'll pick Auburn and Washington, those are the 2 highest rated teams.

LSU/Miami is on Sunday so that’s unlikely

I’m sure they have when it’s slim pickins but with so many to choose from and it being the opener I doubt they’ll pick a game that likely won’t have much of a crowd since it won’t be same day.

i do agree that DFW and tallahassee are less likely than the three saturday options. i think it comes down south bend and atlanta

week 2 is slim pickings. pretty much comes down to

ucla and OU in norman
penn state and pitt in pittsburgh
a&m and clemson in college station

probably between college station and norman that week but those really dont seem like great options outside of the OU and a&m fanbases

I would say South Bend. Classic blue blood type game they’ll cream over

Definitely won't be at Ohio St.

LSU v Miami location seems most obvious.
