My bad, i didnt realize he also put Karl Malone ahead of Kareem and Bird

Jesus Christ people, that list is not "in order" except for MJ, who I think is the GOAT. Bunch of petty fricks. No one else is doing shite to provide any argument for where Bird should be.

I like to believe that when looking at raw talent, Lebron probably is pretty damn close to top 5 of all time. Now taking the top 5 list and expanding to actual career stats/titles/etc he definitely starts to get out of the top 5.

As far as the actual top 10, its hard to compare players who played 50 years ago to people who are playing now. Hell, its hard to compare players who played 20 years ago to today. For this reason I think its pretty dumb to argue an actual top 10. We can all probably agree that MJ is 1 but after that who really knows who was better than who. All you can compare really is stats and career wins/titles.

My top 10 would def include Kobe and Shaq tho.

ok, someone bringing sense into the argument

Sorry, when I see a numerically prioritized list, I assume there's a reason they are ordered. Call me crazy

Definitely not crazy. If you think he's better than Wilt, then why not put him there.

I do. Wilt is fricking impossible to rank IMO. His stats are just such a crazy outlier and of course the difficulty of comparing eras definitely holds true.

I think my top 10 would like:
Jordan
Kareem
Wilt
Magic
Kobe
Shaq
Bird
Russell
West
Kwame Brown

I am actually just saving that spot for Lebron, but I would actually put Robertson in that tenth spot for now.

That wasn't the intent. I was just following orders to name 10 guys I thought were better than Bird because I was "dared" to do so.

I would have Bird top ten, behind Jordan, Russell, Chamberlain, Abdul Jabbar, Johnson, Robertson, (rough order) ahead of other candidates for the top ten like M. Malone, Kobe, Shaq

This is my Top 6 as well. After that is where we may disagree on where Bird is. Like I said, I have him in the second 10 with Drexler, Dr. J, Gervin etc.

It is close between him and Bird. West definitely dominated Bird in the front office though.

Port, please feel free top put yourself out there and give up your Top 10 (with Bird in it).

I'm doing mine for best players at their peak, not careers

1.) MJ
2.) Magic
3.) Shaq
4.) Kareem
5.) Wilt
6.) Bird
7.) Kobe
8.) Hakeem
9.) Duncan
10.) Oscar Robinson / Dr J

If I did it by greatest career Russell would be up there.

That is a different argument. In that argument, I'd have Bird up there as well.

I'm surprised Duncan hasnt been said yet. I wouldnt have him in top 10, but ESPN is in love with him and I feel like several ESPN related lists (Bill Simmons perhaps?) have him in the top 10, as high as 7 I think
