When people say “dynamic” quarterback, what does that mean?

it has to mean more than fast or speedy, because they could just say that. Could also say quick or shifty if it meant that. What does it mean?
Also, are there any dynamic white QBs? Maybe Taysom Hill?

i've heard it used describe anyone that is ridiculously good at at least a couple skill sets.
not necessarily any one particular skill set.
Lamar Jackson is a Dynamic runner.
Joe Burrow is a dynamic passer
Matt Ryan is a dynamic choke artist
etc.

So basically good runner. He is decently fast but not a burner.

It’s just become a word that people grab as a descriptor, and it’s caught on. Kinda like degenerate gambler or sloppy drunk.

I think people say it to look smart or insightful. It's similar to the "eye test". No one knows anything about it. But they get to say "he passes the eye test" without having the burden to explain what it is.

“He’s got a big leg.” - description of every K/P in the league.
“What’s (OC/DC) gonna dial up here?” - makes me want to punt a puppy.

I don’t even think of running QBs when I think of a dynamic QB.
More of the guys who have really good pocket awareness + ability to step up/get out of the pocket and throw with accuracy and zip.
So a guy who can attack downfield from anywhere at any time.

Why is the word dynamic so hard for you to understand?

QB's that can play well with audibles, adapting to new systems, can run, can throw, can do all things related to QB play from both conventional play to unconventional play.
That's how I've always felt about it.

Creative, arm angles, improvisational
I don't think rushing has much to do with it.

In the 90's and 2000's it meant black. Vince Young was "dynamic."
"Dynamic" was the nice way of saying he isn't a pocket passer.
Dynamic was code for "he can't throw for shite but he can run the ball and scramble well."

I take it to mean that the qb can throw, but can make easy first downs with his feet if the coverage is good.

Johnny Manziel was a dynamic college QB.
