When did NFL flexing culture get so out of control?

Evertime a guy makes a 1st down, he's got to get up and flex. Twice tonight, the 1st downs was negated by a penalty...but let's just flex anyway.

I saw a play one week where a DB successfully defended a WR in the end zone from catching the ball. So the DB started flexing. Then the ref threw a flag for defensive holding. And now the WR is flexing. Is this how men suppose to act?

Social media narcissism, probably in the last 10-15 years.

I like it, it’s basically the only way to talk shite without drawing a flag. If it was my choice, all shite talking would be allowed. It makes the game more entertaining and competitive. Sure, it’s trashy, but a lot of NFL players are, and for some reason the NFL hides it, because they can’t show the truth.

NFL going WWF. Starting to even look rigged or staged. Watch Arizona make this game interesting.

There a lot of jawing that goes on out there from DBs and WRs . So a good 1st down is a personal victory and payback. I don’t have a problem with it.

So, sometime before then.

Not gonna lie, if I had the guns that some of these cats do I'd flex a hell of a lot more in my life.

Get 25 dollars off my King Soopers receipt? Flex.

My dog successfully fetches? Flex.

Rip a nice fart? Flex.

People were up in arms about the “no fun league” when they tried to rein in celebrations a few years ago. Now, people are back to complaining about dudes showboating.

I don’t feel one way or another about the issue, but it is interesting to watch a game from the 60s or 70s and nobody celebrates a big hit or a touchdown; they just get up and walk back to the sidelines.

It has replaced the throat slice that was banned after players did it every play.

Don’t disagree, but I always find it amusing when a player flexes but has so little definition in their arms it actually looks a little flabby

Act like you've done it before, and like you'll do it again.

When everybody does it, it's not entertaining, it's boring and predictable.

Make the play, give the ball to the offical, go back to huddle, get ready for the next play. The game is the entertainment, not the other shite after the whistle.
