For little league?? Do you oil it up and put a ball in it and wrap it up with a shoe lace or put it under the mattress?

What type of oil would you use? Just any leather oil?

And the bang the hell out of it, and it's like a new glove.

A little oil and the wrapped ball, then use it a lot

A glove for me was broken in after two bull pens with a guy throwing upper 80s low 90s.

Realizing you are talking little league, I would say that translates into throwing with it a lot. And let your kid wear it so it breaks in with his small hand and not your adult sized hand.

I never put it under a mattress or in the oven. It makes it too soft and harder to get the ball out.

Gets some lather and bake it, the shape it how you want it, put a ball in it, and tie it up.

At academy they have some stuff called hot glove. It's a foam that you apply all over the glove. You put it in an oven for like 2-3 minutes, then get a ball and throw it hard in the pocket for about 5 minutes. You do that about 3 times back to back and it will be broken in like it's been used an entire season.

Use it, improves skills while breaking it in. Oil it some.

There used to be glove oil made just for this. I used to rub it up with glove oil, put a ball in it, put 2 belts around it, tight.

A really nice glove nowadays...like a Mizuno pro model does not need breaking in. It's ready out of the box. But it's expensive as hell.

I never "broke" in a glove. I used in during practice and threw a lot so that it was only broken in the way I wanted to use it. I have seen the oven method and they claim it works, but to me that is broken in the way the oven wants not the way I want.

I've never seen it used but there is a machine at the Dick's Sporting goods by the house that supposedly breaks the glove in. It made me want to buy a glove just to see how it worked when I saw it.

The best way is to oil it lightly and let your Little Leaguer throw and catch with it. That it is broken in to their hand. The oven, hot glove or microwave method is very hard on the laces. It will destroy the laces. If you are short on time, oil it and work it into the glove by hand until the oil is absorbed into the glove. Repeat. Try not to put your hand into the glove very much. I use mink oil or neatsfoot oil when I can find it.

Used to break in my catcher's mitts with a little oil (whatever leather oil was around, we had lots of oil for saddles and things like that not necessarily the stuff they have for baseball gloves), place a ball in it and put it under the mattress. Also use it practice nonstop. Always ended up feeling exactly how I wanted it.
