Expensive southern school with a trashy Yankee student body.
That's all of us already or soon. Look at Alabama. They're mostly out of staters and when I go every other year most of the students I met there were from the northeast. And they acted like it.

the utter disbelief on their players faces in the fiesta bowl loss to PSU.
These stud, brash players who were warriors wearing fatigues...
Literally walked off the field crying pushing cameras out of their face and yelling at reporters as all the reporters and fans in the Press Box were clapping that Penn State won.
I've never heard clapping for one team in the announcers booth on the final play since.

People legit hated Miami.

That natty game was a masterful display of trap running and physical intense defense, Alabama could not be stopped, reminiscent of early 70s Dolphins

Too bad again that play never happened.
The play didn't count but it's the first thing most Alabama fans picture when they think of Miami. Despite the fact that it was called back due to a penalty doesn't negate the fact that the particular sequence of events occurred in the fullness of time.

The turnover didn't count, but the Miami TD Teague prevented would have.

And this is why it ultimately ended up counting, despite what the troll in this thread might say. Had Teague not stripped the ball, Miami would have declined the penalty and it would have been their ball inside the 10-yard line. At that point in time, it was 27-6. They could have scored there and, with the punt return at the beginning of the fourth quarter, it would have been 27-20 with plenty of time left in the game. That changes the dynamic and momentum of the game completely.
Instead...Teague stripped the ball and Miami had to accept the offsides penalty. Rather than it being 1st & Goal at the Alabama 7-yard line, it was 1st & 5 at the Miami 15-yard line. Miami ended up going three-and-out and were forced to punt once again.

My grandfather (RIP) and Dr. Henry King Stanford.
My grandfather headed the Economics department in Coral Gables for many years and had both Jim Kelly and Mark Richt as students. Had the chance to speak with Coach Richt a few years back and he remembered my grandfather very well.
Dr. Stanford was the president at Miami for many years during my grandfather's career there. When I was a student at UGA in the early 90s, Dr. Stanford was the interim president. Got called out of class one day to meet with him in his office; my grandmother wrote to him and told him who I was. Fun story to tell my classmates the next time I saw them.
