Through 2010, Ohio State and Michigan have decided the Big Ten Conference championship between themselves on 22 different occasions, and have affected the determination of the conference title an additional 27 times.

The Game has had an impact on the Big Ten championship 49 times in its history. That's just about every other year. I don't think the Iron Bowl has had that effect on the SEC title nearly as often.

To be fair the state of Georgia now watches Auburn bc nobody can get into UGA these days.

Well that says far more about the B1G than anything else. The fact that two teams determine the conference on a regular basis is laughable. Even through all of that, you all collectively only have three national championships since 60s. That says a lot.

That wasn't the question.

This was the question:

Uh like Florida and Alabama? Since going to the championship game in 1992, they’ve made 23 appearances. They’ve played each other 9 times. They’ve accounted for 14 of the 25 champions since 1992.

First of all, Florida and Bama aren't even rivals and don't play each other every year. Secondly, those SECCG games ,played between the two, were at least of significance the majority of the times played.

92 - Bama won the title
96 - Florida won the title
08 - Florida won the title
09 - Florida won the title

The fact is, that the B1G has been vastly overrated as a conference for decades now, thus its main rivalry in the conference is overrated as well. It is the most recognizable due to media attention and hype, but it is pretty overrated.

I didn’t say they were.

Yea that’s my point. 2 teams have dominated the SEC for the better part of 25 years and won titles, but Ohio State and Michigan do the same and you think it means the conference is shitty.

The sec outside of Bama, Florida, and possibly early 2000s lsu and late 90s early 2000s Tennessee has been overrated too. 2010-now Auburn is close, but wildly inconsistent from year to year.

The SEC has the significant hardware to counter any argument that is has been overrated the past 25 years.

92 - Bama
96 - Florida
98 - Tennessee
03 - LSU
06 - Florida
07 - LSU
08 - Florida
09 - Bama
10 - Auburn
11 - Bama
12 - Bama
15 - Bama

What is overrated about that?

B1G

97 - Michigan. Didn't play Nebraska so it was split.
02 - OSU
14 - OSU

Not as impressive.

Just showing how stupid your response of a gif was. Okay, you beat us. No team is undefeated. Just showing how you've had your far share of embarrassments as well. It happens.

Dude you’re making my point. Those are the same 5 teams I named and gave year references for. That’s 12 titles and almost half are bama (5) and 3 are Florida. So 8/12 are from 2 teams.

I don't understand what Tennessee, Florida, and LSU titles have to do with the Iron Bowl?

You showed that Clemson, LSU, and Florida won those games. Bama didn't.

Just showing how stupid it is to run your mouth...

To be fair, Bama and Florida's dominance prevented Tennessee and LSU from emerging and getting over the hump in a few of those years.
