I think if he can get another 2K in a season, break Jim Brown's 13 game record of 150+ rushing yards and 2TDs, and at gets to at least one Super Bowl he should be considered in the GOAT conversation with

Eye test his peak isnt better than Adrian Peterson's or Ladainians.

Longevity will never surpass Emmitt Smith or Barry Sanders.

Hes got 6100 yards and 58 rushing touchdowns. At a bare minimum he has to double both

Considering the era of pass first offenses, what he has done the past three seasons has been more than impressive. I do think he will start to fall off by age 29. I also think he can play for another 6 or 7 years of he continues to train properly an take care of his body

Pass-first league, but it's not like Derrick Henry's opportunities have suffered... His 19 carries/game during those three seasons is the same amount as Adrian Peterson's first three seasons, which were the most carries in a three-year span of his career.

Lead a team to a couple of rings. Same as any QB. Not getting top level talk till you win a few Championships..

Have you seen the steep dropoffs recently from other workhouse RBs?

he got lucky he was able to “rest” (relatively) his first few seasons, but age is going to hit him pretty hard sooner rather than later IMO

it would also help if he did something worth a shite in a playoff game with the spotlight

In this pass-happy era of football, this is amazing stuff. Jim Brown lived in a different football galaxy.

If he posts 3-4 more years of 120+ yds a game and 4.5+ yds a carry then he's made a case for himself.

Dude has 10 games with 150 and 2 TDs. He probably will break Jim Brown's record this season. He's slightly off pace for 2K this year. He's averaging 120 a game thus far. He need a deep playoff run

If you assigning attributes to all-time great running backs and longevity was the attribute, wouldn’t you select one that ranked in the top 25 in games played at least.

Barry retired early. Is he even in the top 50 in games played at RB? Perhaps a Walter Payton would have been better.

LDT is a different kind of back so not really a direct comparison but having watched Henry and Peterson, there isn’t that significant of a difference. Peterson is probably the better “speed” guy, but Henry is definitely the better “power” guy.

Dude’s not even fair to play with on Madden lol.

Wouldn't another 2K season put him in a category by himself as the only RB to have multiple 2K Yard seasons?

Why does everyone in the sports world feel the need to hyperbolize everything.
