Last night had a bad one online. Lost 52 M in chips. I am glad it wasn’t real money.

Me 10, 10
Them K,Q

Flop comes 10, 10, Q I go all in they call
Turn Q
River Q

I know it was random luck but it just was ugh.

That’s about as bad as it gets. If it had happened in a live poker room, you be walking away with the bad beat jackpot. Usually more that $10,000

So I probably won’t see that happen to me again?

Losing with quads is incredibly bad luck.

Not a % thing, but I was playing poker on a cruise once, and this really old lady comes to the table with zero clue what she was doing, legit zero. She didn't realize she could fold so she'd call everything and basically lose her stack in 1-2 hands, then re-up, lose again. She did this 3 or 4 times. I don't know the rules but was surprised the dealer didn't tell her anything. I know he can't in the middle of a hand of course, but figured he may try to talk her out of rebuying or something lol.

So finally I got my chance with a solid hand to get money from her.I honestly don't even remember the hands, but I know I bet the flop, all in on the turn. She followed along. I had the big advantage, and she hit a 2 outer on the river. Everyone at the table was dying laughing. I see the humor in it now, but I was o pissed in the moment.

Old PartyPoker way back when. Lost with an ace high flush to a straight flush playing pot limit Omaha. Couple of hundred dollars in the pot

I love playing Omaha. It’s a shame most apps free or pay don’t have it.

I’ve lost with pocket aces to a troll call with someone with 2-7 offsuit. It was heads up to win a home game tournament so the stakes were low, but I digress.

The opposite happened to me and I felt bad. I beat quad aces with an incredibly lucky royal flop. I baited him until the River and was confused as to why he kept up with my bets.

Once was in a hand where the flop, turn, and river was a straight flush to the queen. I had suited cards lower than the straight but the villain had the king. Couldn't bring myself to a fold a straight flush when he went all in.

Not to get technical, but in my poker room for the BBJ to hit you have to use both your hole cards. So OP wouldn’t have hit

It got over 1m a few years ago before someone hit.

I did use both hole cards or does the guy who bust you out have to use hole cards? That to me wouldn’t be a bad beat then.

that's ALWAYS the rule, anyone in this thread claims different, we know they are lying.

To win/share the BBJ, you must play both of your cards and 3 on the board. Not 1, etc.

The way he describes it, both hole cards for both players would be in play.

H1: 10, 10

H2: K, Q

Board: 10, 10, Q, Q, Q

Best H1: 10, 10, 10, 10, Q

Best H2: Q, Q, Q, Q, K

The best 5 card hand for both players uses both cards for both players. This would have counted as a BBJ
