But if LSU wins the 2011 NC, that likely buys Les more time. If he doesn’t get fired in 16, does 2019 happen?
2019 definitely does not happen but there is a chance LSU wins another national championship between 2011-2019. Les was an elite recruiter he just did not know how to run an offense full of talent.

Probably wins it in 2012

Personally the one that hurt was the iron bowl where lsu needed bama to win. Run the ball run the clock. Instead dubose runs a screen at the 50, minute or so left and not only was it behind the running back, the gave Auburn the ball to kick ( they did) a game winner. First time I really started hating Alabama.

Nebraska losing to FSU in 1993 National Championship.
Very underrated game. How epic would it have been if they cleared the field and Nebraska made the kick?

Man, I probably have many answers to this question, but I'll say Northwestern losing the '96 Rose Bowl to USC.
That season was such a magical run out of nowhere, and I even attended the home game against Penn State with my good friend and his late dad. We still talk about how awesome that day was.
As for the Rose Bowl, NU went down by 17 in the 1st half, but rallied to take a lead in the 4th qtr. Then USC stormed back to go up 9 late, then NU had a TD wiped out by holding, and they clanked a FG off the upright. I still remember Keith Jackson saying, "I mean, that's just mean."

I only care about the games we win or lose. Honestly, you have to be a loser to believe other teams/people control your fate.

Nah, probably doesn't. Know how I know?

With all respect, the 2013 Auburn Tigers football team were the luckiest team in history to get to the NC Game. Say what you want about the kick 6, they got an answered prayer against UGA, and were thoroughly dominated against LSU.

Yea but that worked out perfectly for LSU. And Vandy misfired on a late FG which would'f beaten Tennessee the following week! So TENNESSEE got into the SEC championship game!
LSU turned out to be extremely lucky that year. Tennessee ended up 6-2 in the conference and advanced to the SECCG, by virtue of their early win vs Georgia, also 6-2.
Georgia was playing the best football in the country, in the second half of October and all of November. It's likely that if LSU and Georgia had met in the SECCG the Dogs would have won (as in 2005) and played OSU in the NC game.

2012 SEC championship
UGA vs Bama. Winner goes to NC game.
UGA WR caught the ball near the goal line & time ran out

There isn't one, because this pertains to teams I don't care about.

The kick six
What a brutal way to lose, especially since Saban argued with the refs to get that 0:01 put back on the clock to attempt the field goal. I never understood him wanting to try a 57 yard field goal when Bama’s kicker was missing field goals from much closer all night.

The Rose Bowl the following season was another heartbreaker. Arizona State takes a late lead over Ohio State. If their defense holds, they would be national champs by virtue of Florida’s win over FSU in the Sugar. Instead, Joe Germaine leads the Bucks to the end zone and the Bucks get a rare bowl win under Jon Cooper.

2013 Mizzou beating aTm. Needed Mizzou to lose to put SC in SECCG against Auburn. 13 was Spurrier's best team at Carolina, and had they played Auburn, I liked their chances winning out.
Alas, the one time I actively pulled for Johnny Manziel, he got wrecked by Michael Sam.

He caught it at the five. He had a clear path to the endzone... and fell down

Didn’t Mark Richt have a timeout to use?

At the time, it was the Tua-Devonta Smith game winning touchdown in the national championship. Then, it felt like Saban and Bama just had their number, and that UGA would never be able to get over that hump.
They don't get that sympathy from me anymore.
FCS level: Incarnate World v South Dakota State. Former LSU transfer Lindsay Scott Jr was having an absolutely otherworldly season for IW. Their offense was unbeatable. The game came down to the wire, but once again, Dakota still came out on top and managed to win it all I think

This
My Bama hate was at an all time high
That was the game where Murray was rocked by a Bama DL (wanna say Dial?) on a hit after an INT that would land him in jail nowadays
Brutal 18 months to be an LSU fan

It was a different kicker if I remember right
But yeah, point still stands - bama would’ve wrecked them in OT
