The Saints losing to the 49ers the same week. That team would have won the Super Bowl
We would have won the SB imo. 1/9 I was more angry then depressed. Especially with Lee not getting a chance.

1/9- Especially in the 4th quarter, when I realized our coach pretty quit & conceded the game.
Disgusting.

1) 1992 - Laettner - Yep still mad
2) 2002 - Bluegrass Miracle
3) 1984 - Scored 3 points against Georgetown in Final Four
4) 2010 - Wall/Cousins/Patterson/Bledsoe team goes cold shooting against WVU and lose in bid for Final Four spot
As a UK football fan, almost every Saturday in the fall.

The day after the "Bartman game" when the Cubs lost game 7 to the Marlins. I really thought the Cubs were World Series bound.

After the finals this year.
I couldn't watch ESPN for a week.
Second would be after OLe Miss beat us in 2008.

1. Greg Moore's death in the 1999 Marlboro 500
2. Ayrton Senna's death at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
3. Game 6 1998 NBA Finals - MJ got away with a push on Russell
4. 1999 NFC Championship Game - Ricky Proehl wasn't in bounds on the TD and Bert Emanuel caught the ball.
5. 2004 Maine 9 Mississippi State 7 - I was at the game and the loss to the original Black Bears is probably the most embarrassing loss as a fan.

The day of the November 2007 Oregon at Arizona game where Dennis Dixon went down (unknowingly injured in the ASU game prior).
National Championship and Dixon was the Heisman favorite at that time, all down the drain.

1/9 no doubt.
Usually with sports, I'm disappointed for a little bit but forget about it pretty quickly.
1/9 stung though. Perfect season gone. And the way it happened. Couldn't even make it past mid-field? Plus, there was the whole thing about already beating Alabama and they got a second shot at it. Both teams lost to each other and those were their only losses, but Bama gets the crystal football. It sucked.
Then last season LSU got another crack at them... kind of a revenge game. LSU was an inferior team, but they were playing above their usual level. It would have been very sweet to spoil Alabama's championship dreams. LSU was winning and it felt like they were going to put Alabama away. But nope. One last minute drive and a touchdown and Alabama beat LSU in Tiger Stadium. So that sucked too.
But LSU played so well and the atmosphere was unbelievable that I wasn't really that upset about it. It was a hell of a game.

Last night probably ranks up there for me. The Braves trick me into believing every year.

Game 6 of the 1996 World Series.

Losing to SF, with LSU losing on 1/9 we needed the Saints to win.
That '11 squad was the best team we ever had, and later with the Giants beating Green Bay it sucked even more
because we would have gotten NY in the dome and been on our way to the super bowl.

1/9/12 and the subsequent Saints loss to the 49ers in the playoffs. I didn't know what to do.
