The non call was awful. But the Saints had plenty of chances to put way more points on the board in the first half and didn’t. If they had. The no call play would not have been needed.

4 Southern California refs had two more no calls in OT. On the interception with the Saints driving to win the game, Drew Brees was struck in the face while his intended WR was held.
The Saints should have had a choice of a 15 yard penalty or a 5 yard penalty and an automatic first down. Either way, it would have placed the Saints in great field position to win the game.
There is no way that 4 Southern California refs actually had the best grades creating a conflict of interest.

Many are wondering privately how head referee Bill Vinovich who lives in Newport Beach, CA, was paired with LA County resident Patrick Turner as well as Dan Arnold and Todd Prukop who live in Santa Barbara and Mission Viejo, respectfully.

Go watch the first half of that game and then tell me the refs cost the saints the game. The saints should have up by 20.

Game was close.
Why do you think that was? We shot FTs with a barely conscious shooter. Damn, people were tough back then.

Watch that play again in real time. It was clean defending despite what the low iq fans want to think.

Jimmy Carter's boycott of the 1980 Olympics.

Not drafting Jordan
The Rockets wanted Olajuwon and had build with Sampson, so smart not to take
Blazers had Drexler who was the guy and played same position, Bowie was an All American but some concerns about health.
So the Bulls at 3 was not a botch.

UCF was named #1 in the Final Colley Matrix poll, which is a recognized selection body. Their claim is as legit, if not more, than Alabama’s claim in 1941
quote:
lol get real dude. You’re comparing 2017 G5 UCF to 1941 Bama because of a poll that nobody’s heard of?
Now I’m really not sure if you’re serious….
Alabama’s claim to 1941 is based solely on the Houlgate System. Fwiw, Alabama was ranked 18th in the “poll that everybody’s heard of” that year after finishing 9-2.
So again I say that the fact that the University of Alabama actively markets “18” and allows officially licensed items to be sold is tacit acceptance of UCF’s claim to the 2017 National Championship.
quote:
The NCAA recognizes the Houlgate System as a "major selector" of college football national championships and lists the system's post-bowl selections, as published in the 1954 edition of The Football Thesaurus,[5] in the official NCAA records book.[6]

The Colley Matrix is a computer-generated sports rating system designed by Dr. Wesley Colley. It is one of more than 40 polls, rankings, and formulas recognized by the NCAA in its list of national champion selectors in college football.[1]

Colorado's 5th down was pretty eggregious and it was very consequential to the national title.
CU doesn't win a national title without the 5th down fricking of Mizzou.
The 1997 Mizzou vs Nebraska game had the infamous 'flea kicker" play that resulted in a touchdown for Nebraska late in the game and the Nubs went on to win the game and a National Title in 1997

Lol more stupid was the pats falling asleep at the half, allowing Seattle to score a TD (80 yards, 25 seconds)...swap the TDs, Pats still win that.

The Dolphins not signing Brees.
That also Would have completely changed the landscape of college and pro football currently, in my opinion. Saban would have stayed in Miami (at least longer than he did) and the shockwaves ripple from there.
