Great win for LSU back in '86?

Can't say because I was just born.

I have a decent enough grasp for the history of the game because I read a lot about it as a kid. Haven't paid close attention to college ball recently, though.

Notre Dame?

yes. I thought of Michigan and Michigan State as well, but thought maybe they may lack a serious center. Notre Dame is kind of weak here, but Laimbeer did nicely, didn´t he?

I think Notre Dame also had David Rivers and Orlando Wooldridge.

AD would dominate 60s era players at the C position in college.

My duke team is also pretty new era, any criticism?Gotta think there were better Cs than i put up, but i based it on NBA careers

I'll watch an old time Kentucky documentary or something this weekend.

In three years at UCLA, Wilkes averaged 15.0 ppg and 7.4 rpg and shot 51.4 percent from the field.

In his only season, Love led the Bruins with 17.5 ppg, 10.6 rpg, and 23 double-doubles.

I considered him. I think it shows my age more than anything. I completely realize that these limited stats don't show the whole picture. But it came down to my choice on my team and I would still take Love. He is a rebounding machine.

Kansas could put together a ballin' lineup, but I'm too lazy to look it up, or even read the thread to see if someone has already posted it

Kentucky:

PG: John Wall, Rajon Rondo, & Eric Bledsoe
SG: Tony Delk, Rex Chapman, Jodie Meeks
SF: Jack "Goose" Givens, Tayshaun Prince, MKG, a few PF's that could fit here. I'm just drawing a blank on good UK SF's

F/C: Dan Issel, AD, Mashburn, Antoine Walker, Cousins, Julius Randle (a little early I know)

I did a little research and came up with a few decent teams i wouldn't have thought of

Ohio State University, if lebron would have went here, it could bea a top 5 candidate imo (1 title):
PG- Mike Conley, Jr (all big ten first team, all defensive 2nd team)
SG- Michael Redd (NBA all star, Most 3pters made in a quarter, Olympic gold medal in 2008) / Jim Jackson UPI College Player of the Year (1992) 2× Big Ten Conference Player of the Year (1991–1992)2× Consensus NCAA All-American First Team (1991–1992)
SF- John Havlicek (50 greatest nba)
PF- Jerry Lucas (50 greatest nba players of all time, averaged 16 boards per game, 2 NCAA final four MOP, NCAA champion)
C- Greg Oden (dominance in college)/ Neil Johnston (Hall of fame C)/ Arnie Risen (2x NBA champion 4x allstar)

U Cincinnati (2 titles)
PG- Nick Van Exel (NBA All star, solid clutch 3 point shooter)
SG- Oscar Robertson
SF- Jack Twyman (hOF SF 6x NBA all star 2x ABA all star)
PF- Kenyon Martin
C- Paul Hogue(2x NCAA champion, final four MOP) /Rick Roberson(solid rebounder)

U Memphis
PG- D Rose
SG- Tyreke Evans
SF- Penny Hardaway
PF- Rich Jones (ABA champion, 2x aba all star
C- Larry Kenon (aba champion 3x aba all star 2x nba all star, missouri valley conference player of the year)

Depaul University
PG- Rod Strickland (all nba second team, 1998 nba assists leader, could feed nice big man lineup)
SG- Mark Aguirre (Fringe HOF player, adolph rupp trophy)
SF- Wilson chandler(weakest link, but had a lights out 3 point fg% last year)
PF- Terry Cummings (Multiple all star, all nba 2nd and 3rd team)
C- George Mikan (One of the greatest Cs of all time, HOF C)

Michigan State University (2 NCAA titles)
PG- Mateen Cleaves(NCAA champion, Final four most outstanding player, first team all american)
SG- Ralph Simpson (Averaged 29/10.4 reb in 1 year of college, 5x ABA all star, aba champion)
SF- Steve Smith (3pt fg% leader 2002, consensus second team all american, nba all star, nba champion)/ Jason Richardson (NBA 3 point field goals made leader)
PF- Magic Johnson
C- Zach Randolph

Well at least somebody finally mentioned that nobody has put together a Kansas lineup. I have no affiliation with them but Wilt and Danny Manning is a pretty good start.

Well, I googled and I don't recognize most of their other consensus AAs so somebody else will have to finish.

If we are going based on college then Ed O'bannon>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Love and Wilkes. Russell Westbrook wasn't even better than Darren Collison much less Tyus Edney or Baron Davis. Gail Goodrich>Reggie Miller too

Jack doesn't belong anywhere in the discussion with that group. he could maybe factor in at SG, but guys like Shumpert or Ferrell, look like better options.

and how dare you leave off Luke Schenssssher?

factors in if you're putting together a whole team, or if you wanna go big with Manning at the 3.

also, this Jo Jo White was apparently a beast back in the day, so he should be in at a guard spot.
