You'd have to get Cal to coach them because Rupp wouldn't be down with the tone of that team.

I love Duke, but they aren't in the same class as the others (or close to it), not to mention you omitted their 2nd best NBA product ever in Elton Brand.

Duke, Gtown, Houston, are in the top ten. Who are the other two?

NC State possibly, G. Tech?

They would get raped by any team with any type of size. Alcindor,Shaq,Petit, and Walton would destroy them.

My goal was to pick players without factoring in their NBA careers. Brand was an omission on my part, but I think, as college talents, Duke's team could go toe-to-toe with just about anybody.

Not UCLA, LSU, or UNC.

There is no doubt about the top 3.

ETA:

LSU

PG: Chris Jackson
SG: Pistol
SF: Rudy Macklin
PF: Bob Petit
C: Shaq

High C, John Williams, Bass, ect...... off the bench

I was going from the NBA perspective, but yea, what perspective you use makes all the difference. For instance, Laettner outplayed Shaq in one of their college matchups and the other was about a draw, so you do have a point there. In the NBA though...not even close.

They get it done on the other end, though. No way any of those big guys are guarding Laettner, either.

I think playing for a crappy Twolves team really took away a lot of Laettner's passion for the game. He was a very, very skilled player. Like I said a minute ago, he outplayed Shaq in one of their head to head matchups in college.
