I'm not going to follow it closely but it is absolutely a good option to put on my TV when I'm bored on a Sunday.

It’s solid football in a pretty dead period on the sports calendar through this week. Same for the USFL, but the host site business takes a lot away from the atmosphere.
The problem is am I going to watch it over March Madness or the NHL playoffs?

Not watching it. As long as the SEC, Big Ten, ACC and so on are the minor league for the NFL I have no interest in it.
At least the USFL back in the 80s challenged the NFL for talent. I'd rather watch the best golfers and the NHL and NBA until June than guys who are minor leaguers.

It would be more interesting if the XFL had more than 8 teams.
Right now though, it might help that the PGA tour is boring up until the Masters.
I have zero interest in the NBA now that the Pelicans are free falling.
Waiting on March madness with the Ladies’ tournament.
LSU baseball is where I will spend my time. Not a fan of NASCAR.

I like aspects of it but they have to get out of the converted baseballs stadiums in Arlington and Las Vegas. Yes I understand they are getting those venues for cheap but holy shite they look like crap on TV.

Does anyone really believe that a new football league will ever displace the NFL ?
Kids are indoctrinated to love the NFL because we used to have at least 28 teams for the past 55 years. Athletes want to play in the NFL. Unless serious money can compete with the rookie deals of the NFL, no one is willingly going to play for an lower quality league.
The best play against the best. I just don’t see another league grabbing the attention of a football fan.

The XFL and USFL are not trying to displace the NFL and both have said as much.
