What is the most unnecessary stat kept in football?

uh they usually limit that stat to at most 5 minutes left in the quarter, usually around 2-3

I think most stats are unnecessary or at least overrated. I hate passing yards for a QB. You can throw a screen to a RB, have him run 80 yards for the TD, and you get 80 passing yards? The QB didn't do shite on that play. I think they should only count the yardage to where the receiver catches the pass.

I'm going to go with assisted tackles. It seems very arbitrary if you give a guy one or not.

I don't think passes that hit a receiver in the hands, but results in an interception, (tips, deflections, etc), should count against the QB
