The Cowboys in a walk. They check all the boxes:
Entitled fans? Check
Endlessly pushed brand, regardless of the quality of product? Check
Length of time in national conversation? Check.
The Saints, or a Texans, or a Colts could never be nearly so hated, because its not that most of America couldn't hate them-- its that they haven't had to think of them at all, most of the time.

I grew up hating the Yankees. Back in the 50s there was only one TV station, and it seems the Yankees were on every time. And it also seemed they were alway playing the Kansas City Athletics which it seemed was nothing but a Yankees farm team.
On th radio we could pick up the St Louis Cardinals.
I like the cardinals and hated the yankees - still do.
