He's rolled to the basket from the weak side all playoffs.

Says who? Plant his arse under the basket, if their game winning play is kick to Bosh for a 20 footer than great for them

Hi very is a terrible defender away from the basket and it you watch the play develop no one was close to the basket on defense. Had Hibbert been in game and covered his man the same play would have happened. Had he stayed in lane someone would have had a wide open jumper. Would you be bashing the decision had Ind won the game? I doubt it.

Can't guard Bosh.

Anyone taking a wide open jumper is better than LeBron walking to the lane. Both possessions were horribly played by Indy besides leaving Hibbert out. Switch Hill onto LeBron after a weak screen and then George going to the overplay with no help.

So you're saying if the Heat simply spread everyone wide the Pacers should just concede Lebron the paint rather than Bosh the jumper

THANK YOU!!!

Why are there like 4 people on the planet that understand this?

Hibbert wasn't going to walk out there and plant himself under the rim.

He would've been guarding Bosh, just like Hansbrough.
Then he would've switched the screen, just like Hansbrough.
And he would've been forced to chase Ray Allen to the corner, just like Hansbrough...

The only person with a chance at changing that shot at the rim was Sam Young, who started out the possession on Ray Allen.

This is what really gets at the point. People are overreacting to the Hibbert aspect. It's 2.2 seconds left. If George doesn't overplay ball, LeBron takes a pull up jumper. And then Indy gets the result it should have gotten. That was just a better decision by Paul George.

Same with their decision to switch with Hill/George instead of fight over screen.

I completely agree with Vogel's reasoning. Just really poor execution. That's on the players. Not the Coach.

Barkley and Kenny Smith both said that Hibbert would ave been on Bosh, and that he was pulled because he couldn't guard Bosh

The basketball reason is that the coach is an idiot.

That is the case, but its kind of irrelevant honestly.

Hibbert would've been in the corner chasing after Ray Allen even if he comes out there on Bosh.

Because of the play call and the way Indy was switching screens, the only way Hibbert ends up with any chance of contesting Lebron on that play would've been if he came out there lined up on Ray Allen, which of course would have never happened.

People immediately start looking to blame someone, but it was just a really well drawn up play that opened up the lane for Lebron by chasing Indiana's big man to the corner.

For the LBJ game-winner Hibbert wouldn't have made a difference but for the game in general in the last minutes, it was a bad decision to take Hibbert out.

he should be fired for that. one of the inexcusable decisions a coach can make.
fricking MSB mouse jockeys think they know more than a guy who's spent his life playing/coaching basketball. They are soooo much smarter once LBJ makes the layup. If James passes to an open bosh in the corner, fogel is an idiot for guarding him with a center and protecting the lane, despite no one in there. All these MSB geniuses need to stop wasting their collective greatness typing away at an anonymous message board and display that infinite knowledge for the rest of us to learn from
