Pretty sure Magic Johnson can't afford the Clippers.

So he would have to be part of a group that buys the Clippers?

I am not sure if Magic can afford to but the clippers. But, I am 100% positive that Sterling will not sell his team to an African American.

The Clippers are worth $700 million plus. If he did, he'd have to have partners in the deal

Right, just like when he bought the Dodgers as apart of a group. But he would be the face of ownership. Especially now.

He would probably have enough sense to move the team to Anaheim.

What doesn't make that proposed situation ironic? I would say that a black guy owning a franchise a racist white guy was forced to sell to be the opposite of what you would think would happen which = irony.

Does the fact that Alanis Morisette's song contains no actual incidences of irony make the song itself ironic?

Being forced to sell to a certain group doesn't equal ironic..which isn't even legal

I'm not saying he's being forced to sell to Magic's group, he's just being forced to sell in general.

You don't understand irony. If the league forced Sterling to sell the team to Magic in hopes of removing racism from the Clippers organization, but Magic turned out to be a racist as well, that would be ironic. A racist white guy selling the team to a black guy would be poetic justice, I suppose.
