Villanova was the 3rd Big East team, and the worst in that Final Four.
Georgetown and St Johns were both 1 seeds, and was one matchup. The winner was widely expected to win it all.
Villanova was an 8 seed, and matched up with Memphis, a 2 seed (which beat 1 seed Oklahoma to get to the Final Four).
Villanova beating Georgetown is still considered the biggest upset in NCAA Tournament history.

Well I guess the astroid belt will have to wait… Marquette and Creighton melt down to only have UConn still standing
