Also, look at the games that led up to UT's loss compared to OU's.

OU played 4 straight top20 teams to finish the year I believe, and at least two of those were neutral site games

Sure, playing 3 top 10 teams is the exact same as playing a team that won 0 games, TCU, and Baylor. TCU is the only good team that can boast ANYTHING of worth. OkSt and OU were really good teams, and at least Mizzou had a good offense.

the only real difference in OSU and OU is that OSU still owns their rival and OU's rival has started showing up

otherwise it's very similar. mediocre conferences with talent concentrated in 2 teams. generally a big talent gap after that (although PSU had their once every 4 year runs last year)

THAT is the worry about OU and OSU. they out talent their shitty conference competition and (at least used to) own their 1 conference competitor. because of this, they get overrated year in, year out

you are basically saying that ut should be given a pass or some sympathy for having to run a gauntlet

Why would they need a pass? They finished with the same record and BEAT the only other team that really belongs in the conversation by 10 points. Texas lost because of a freak play in the last seconds after playing four straight top 10 teams. OU lost because they played a better team.

Anyone who can't see that Texas was the more deserving team is retarded.

and again, you continue to not play by the rules

the rules say they were not the more deserving team

and most people who watched both teams play all year could tell that ou was the better team

ou was crushing texas, then their mlb went down, and the guy they brought in got absolutely abused and texas just took advantage of it and went over the middle in that area play after play

if ou and texas would have played at the end of the year, ou would have won by 14 MINIMUM

Ok so if we look at that. Shouldn't USC been more deserving since they destroyed an always overrated Ohio State and you won on a freak lucky play at the end. Face it UT didn't belong in that game either. It should have been USC.

while i agree with the first half of this, to say ou didnt belong in that game is just as dumb as the stuff he is saying

ou was right there until the end

please explain how TTech doesn't belong in the conversation. they had 1 loss and beat UT, ya know?

look at OU's schedule, the rankings, the scores and compare that to UT's schedule, rankings, and scores

take out the names

who had the better year?

and when i say rankings, i mean the final rankings. the ones where we had all the info

Go back to 3-way tie.

still finished with a better record when all was said and done

Because Ohio State was clearly as good as Florida last year. And they still almost (should have?) lost their bowl.

The rules? It was like a 5th option tie breaker that came down to the BCS ranking, correct?

They could? shite I thought the 12-1 record and win by 10 said differently.

I agree with this. I'm just saying that UT fans have no reason to point out anyones faults. Plain and simple OU was there and nobody else......Well except Florida.
