Shouldn't USC been more deserving since they destroyed an always overrated Ohio State and you won on a freak lucky play at the end.

Yes, USC was the second best team in the country. Whether or not their resume was the best, I cannot remember.

USC easily could've been the best team in the country.

please explain how TTech doesn't belong in the conversation. they had 1 loss and beat UT, ya know?

One team loses by 6, one loses by 10, one loses by 40.

Which looks different?

How many were worse than Washington and Baylor?

none. i already said they sucked

but when you're an elite team, at a certain point it's all the same. missouri wasn't even a top 25 team

It's not that easy to go undefeated, especially when you're pretty much a top 2 or 3 game a year for every opponent on your schedule.

So you basically think teams are in the same conversation as one another as long as they have the same record? The way you win or lose has NO bearing on your fate?

ETA: I don't really care. Back to the Lakers' game.

Yeah, Texas Tech showed their worth in the bowl. Missouri lost 2 of the last 3 (one an upset loss to Kansas, the other a blowout by OU), the win being an impressive bowl victory in OT over Northwestern, and Ok St lost 3 of their last 4, including their bowl, all of which were at least by 11.

the point is that you are punishing ou for fricking skulldragging ttu

should ou have only one by 3, thus making tech legitimate? no, they shouldnt have

and that is the flaw in people like yourself's argument in this situation

I could rephrase it this way.

One team won by 40, the other by 10, the other by 6. Which one's different?

It doesn't matter, though, because it's a three way tie, and you have to throw out these games. Based on everything else, the toughness of schedule and "impressiveness", OU was the choice.

2009. i think they'll win the pac10, but oregon may have something to say about that

but outside of 1 OOC game a year, they generally don't play anybody worth a frick. in 2006 oregon was worth a frick, and i don't hold that against USC. Oregon with dixon was better than USC. when was the last time, since 2002, that you could say that about a pac10 team? never

This is also why I like the Big 12's way for a 3 way tiebreaker. If it was SEC, it would've been in OU's best advantage to do this.

How am I punishing them by making them one of two teams in teh equation? When did I ever say OU's win was not impressive? I am punishing Texas Tech.

I am saying Texas deserves it more, because of the two teams that belong the most, they won the ONLY true measurement of which team is better (head to head).
