This is probably a stupid question but the winning team gets more money? I thought they got equal shares for participating.

I didn't realize every elite team gets an automatic pass into the SEC.

Texas/OU are de-facto SEC?

State schools.

The guy was clearly just going the private school angle in bringing up Vandy and NWestern as a comparaison to ND.

All ND has to do is make an easy schedule, win 9 games, and they are in a BCS bowl, and they don't have to share it with anyone. At that point, they can imitate the other Big Ten schools and get skull fricked by USC or another SEC team (let's face it, USC is basically an SEC team out west).

this is the old rule. Under their new agreement they make 1.3 million each year no matter if they are in the BCS or not and then if they do make it, they only get 4.5 mil. It's still extreme bullshite, but compared to the old agreement where they got the entire 13 million, it's better

Didn't you hear, you're only good if you're in the SEC. Fockers are fast.

I was talking about the speed and the athleticism of their defensive players, as well as the size and athleticism of their OL. Texas and OU haven't played with the same level of defensive intensity in recent years.

And those who know me on this board know that I DO NOT like the SEC.

And you have still (no surprise here) missed the point where I am NOT an SEC fan or sympathizer. However, you can continue in your little retarded world.

So even if they make a BCS bowl they'd get $13.5 Million - still less than Big10 teams make on the regular season contracts even before bowl momnies are doled out.

so basically they're out of excuses. now it just goes to show the reason they dont is because they somehow consider themselves superior by being independent. not to mention they would have to give up all of those games against the service academies.

As I stated, I really think they just enjoy the exclusiveness now.

they don't. This was the old rule. They only get 4.5 mil. They'd be even better off being in the Big10

I'm leaning that way. They could replace their shitty games against Syracuse/Stanford/Army with equally shitty games against Indiana...uhhh...well I'd put most of the Big10 ahead of those cupcakes.

I was factoring in their $9 Mill NBC deal and their $4.5 BCS money

If rockets would grace us with his presence, I'd like to know how he thinks them losing their main TE will effect them this season, since my understanding is the depth chart is 2 incoming freshman and a walk on
