What could O have done with NIL/Portal

At LSU? He is already better than his successor and all coaches before him but saban but I’d even give him the edge over saban for the undefeated season based on just LSU work. Seems to me O would be a beast with the portal it fits into his style

You are so fricking stupid.

O being less clueless than a grass eater doesn't say much

He already won a division 1 national championship. What else does he need to do? He is probably laying between 2 blondes right now waiting on happy hour.

O was actually slightly ahead of the curve with the CEO head coach model who delegates the actual coaching to his assistants. Unfortunately he was fixated on the Joe Brady offense and the Mid 2000s USC defense and couldn’t bring in competent coordinators which was his downfall.

He would have been similar to Lane imo, pursuing as many highly rated transfers as possible

O was focused on the goal, not the process
It worked the only way it could have, one amazing blaze of glory followed by ineptitude

Ahead of the curve?
We literally had one of those before him for over a decade

Rolled over that breathing tube again, Jamal? You know what the doctor said about doing that and cutting off oxygen from your already tiny brain.

Not even close.

A 4-3 I'm guessing. LSU didn't have USCs 2003-5 talent during his time though. Those defenses were stacked.

4-3 with game wrecking DL and Uber athletic LB’ers

He would have put his wife in it.

Ed was always destined to crash and burn. He did what he could with what Miles left and lucked into Burrow thanks to Bill Busch. He’s an awful head coach and a mediocre recruiter at best without an elite closer as head coach. Basically a glorified bag man.

Ahead of the curve because head coaches now have so much on their plate they don’t actually coach. Look at Ryan Day giving up play calling duties. He said it’s because he spends too much time dealing with NIL and the portal. Eli Drinkwitz did the same thing. Boston College head coach went to the NFL for the same reason.
College football head coaches deal with so much crap now they don’t have the time to actually coach, so Orgeron’s focus on recruiting and not actually coaching is more in line with what a modern college football coach does. I guess you can say Miles did the same thing.
